  • I love my turkey burgers. I use Oroweat/Arnold Sandwich thin for less bread calories. Lettuce, Tomato, Lite Cheddar and a bit of ketchup - sometimes carmelized onion. I usually season with garlic powder and a bit of S&P and on the grill is best - 2nd best is the stove top grill pan. I ususally buy the already made package…
  • Thanks ! The oatmeal dishes look great. Could you add the nutrition information? If not I can put into my recipes and do it when I make them.
  • It's just the "night before syndrome" (my name for it - not official). I feel like this EVERY Sat night and Sunday morning is my weigh in. Don't worry - relax - you will be fine :-)
  • Isn't it wonderful :-) And only last week we were in the low 40's (cold for SoCal). Enjoy - I am!
  • My advice (as a 5'7" woman) is to set a goal to be in normal BMI range - it's pretty broad. Once there you can decide if you need to lose more. I am at 158 now - goal is 150 but MAY want to be 145. Just depends on what I can maintain - I just don't want to struggle everyday to try and be thinner but want to exercise and…
  • Baz Luhrman - the film director? Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge. Didn't know he wrote songs and hoping he is not the singer LOL
  • Hope this helps you - I see it is in grams. http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/beef-products/3591/2
  • I agree - try to eat at least half back each day. You will still lose :-)
  • I count everything. If I want a burger I have to work for it - only one for me :-) And I have had three real good burgers out in 7 months! Since June I have taken off MFP 5 days at Christmas time but that was it - and I still watched what I ate and lost weight. This is not a diet for me - it's a new way of life. When I…
  • I have noticed the same thing different areas these past 7 months. I know what you mean - finally I am losing some of the back fat!!
  • LA and Lake Arrowhead here
  • Love my scale but before I had it I used what Buckwheat38 suggested.
  • LOVE THEM! I have a sweet potato in some form almost EVERY day.
  • Maybe not that particular class but I love my Water Aerobics. GREAT workout - cardio without the pain - Low impact (I have a knee problem) and you workout the entire body. I have taken many a class but now also do with a waterproof case for my ipod loaded up with fast music I like, Speedo water resistence equipment and in…

  • Good luck. You may have already found this - but hope it helps give you inspiration :-) http://quotations.about.com/od/weddingtoasts/a/wedding18.htm
  • OK - stop it! Look at what you have accomplished. You are beautiful. Sure - you have a minimal amount you still want to lose - and you will. I think you are an inspiration :-)
  • I have found that cardio works best for tummy fat - my tummy is down 8 inches! I carried most of my weight through the middle. Take a few classes - I love Zumba. Hard at first but fun and you get the steps after a few classes. Not a machine girl but the elliptical is a great workout. Good luck!
  • When the going get's tough - the tought get MOVING. Exercise is REALLY important. Find something you love to do. Wii, DVD's, biking, running, walking, so many choices - the gym is not the only way. Portion control when you have no food choices - I am assuming that you live at home. Protein and veggies for dinner. Lots of…

  • WOW! Thanks for posting this. Amazing. Had a powerful effect on me too. I am going to share :-)
  • I am now going through exactly this - I feel your pain. I am an EXPERT shopper and have clothes that were regular priced $500-$1000 (that I got for a bargain) that I HATE to rid myself of. I am down several sizes now and 27 lbs ago took some pants to the tailor in order to have something to wear on a cruise - now those are…
  • Remmber - the size 9 is a Junior size for gals in high school and sometimes college. The body changes once we are 25-30 to more of a woman's body. Aim for a 10 - or even an 8!
  • I try to get it done first thing in the morning. I have to lecture myself quite often! I remind myself that I exercise in order to EAT! That usually does it for me! No exercise - way too limited on food.
  • Yum - got it on my list now - thanks for the tip!
  • What helps me (although I do allow myself some sweets) is Good Earth caffeine free tea in Original Sweet & Spicy. I find that hot and REAL flavorful tea works well. Every other type of tea I try is not as flavorful as this one. I drink a lot of it - especially at night
  • Here is my rating - on what I have: Wii Fit Plus - GREAT for starting out. Started with Advanced Step. Now use it still for Free run, Free Step, Strength exercises and Boxing EA Sports Active 2 - Different than Wii Fit Plus - a good workout! Challenges and workouts increase as you move from day to day! Jillian Michaels…
  • I love Lundberg Brown rice cakes - usually with a swipe of almond/peanut butter. 100 cal mini bag of popcorn is good too. I also love Trader Joes Popped Chips (or the brand PopChips) but usually have 1/2 serving with lunch and put them away :-) I get Brothers all natural Fruit Crisps at Costco - but they are sweeter…
  • I have not done for a few weeks but LOVE Rythmn Boxing on Wii. I do in conjunction with Free Run and some strength exercises for an excellent workout too. Just thought about it and the one I am doing is part of Wii Fit Plus - not sure if there is just a Wii boxing game that you may be talking about.

  • You can do it. I started, in June, at almost the same weight and am 11 lbs from 150. I also will evaluate once I am there. Good luck to you!
  • Look how YOUNG you look now - amazing!
