It is on Android and free. I just scanned two "healthy" things and got a C :-( on both! I am totally addicted to this app now. I knew that the flavored water I drink wasn't the best, but I didn't really realize how bad the Kashi baked chocolate square was in terms of sugar! Thanks for sharing!

Unfortunately my kids were getting about double the 6.75 oz, which was their daily sugar intake with little to no nutritional value. That's a good idea mixing it.

My shake my head and press my lips together moment was when my MIL told me Sunny-D was healthy. In fact she thinks all bottled juices (ie, apple, grape, orange) are healthy. I've tried to explain that the sugar is still really high in these juices and asked her to please only occasionally give them to my kids. I'm a firm…

What app is that? Sounds interesting!

One odd thing I had to replace was my sunglasses. They became too big for my face. I was a little annoyed because I really liked them! LOL. Plus I think I need to revamp my makeup. I don't think it looks that good with my face shape anymore.

It's my go to when I'm short on time because it's a much more intense workout than the normal elliptical or treadmill. Actually sometimes I need to stop working my arms to get my heart rate down a bit. I can't last longer than 30 minutes on it. I usually use level 8. I like the workout it gives my entire legs. I would be…

You and I are in the same boat. The government has developed a website that is similar to MFP, but geared toward kids: https://www.choosemyplate.gov/SuperTracker/default.aspx It shows the importance of healthy habits and activities geared towards children. One of my favorite activities they can log is "playing with…

I recently discovered chia seeds (yes, the same ones in ch-ch-Chia pets) from a cold oats recipe. They are loaded with fiber and can be added to anything liquid and will thicken it. Right now, I use 1 tsp in my Greek yogurt. People often use them in smoothies too. They do not taste like anything, but might take some…

Wow, guess I'll have to give Hershey's another try! I didn't know they made a special dark one.....

Coffee Celery Cucumbers Eww! Kashi anything should be in there somewhere too. Diet Coke would be there, but I don't log it. Alcohol should be too, but I drink a variety. I'm scared to ask, but what is Crunk juice?

I can't be the only one that enjoys chocolate.......
I have OCD. Bad. Just be glad you didn't spell anything wrong. I'd have lost my mind.
I have a BA in English and work in medical publishing, plus frequently use spell check! But I'm super bad with names, so am often corrected! All tongue-in-cheek and joking. No biggie. Wouldn't want to piss anyone off and…

Haha, my bad! Thank's for correcting me. I always like it when people call me out on being wrong.

My favorite shirt my son used to wear was: If that's your A game, I hope you brought the whole alphabet I like the Nike slogan shirts but personally, I don't think I could wear one that said gold digging, esp. since the Nelly song is on my run list! I, personally, think it's too negative of a connotations to put across my…

I bet you're going to be able to run outside longer than you think. I started running in October and didn't break down for the gym membership until March when it was too rainy. Granted, we had a mild winter. Running in the cold is really awesome and Christmas lights are so pretty to look at. It takes me longer to feel the…

More miles/time I run ... more calories I burn ... more wine I can drink. Burns more calories than walking the same amount of time I don't really sweat often, so I like it when I sweat while running. Makes me feel like I'm really doing something.
-
I thought you weren't supposed to eat within about 2 hours of bedtime. It makes sense to me. If I eat a brownie in the morning I don't feel as guilty because the calories can be burned during normal day activities which are higher than the calories burned during sleep. I think maybe that is the point the OP's husband maybe…

No more fat *kitten*, no more fat *kitten*, no more fat *kitten*.... If I'm on the treadmill at the gym I try to get behind someone who looks good so if I slow down I look at them and think "I want my arms/back/*kitten*/legs to look like that!"
-
You choose running over other sports/exercises that may burn more calories Everytime you feel the heel/ankle/knee/calf/etc pain the next day, you think "that was a good run" Agree with getting jealous seeing other people run, speeding up next to someone on the treadmill, and running shoes are only for that! Great post OP,…

I was just looking for the same thing! I'm looking to improve my speed and thought I would start over with the program, focusing on speed this time. I looked up C25K by RunDouble and it says that it will tell you when you're halfway. It's free for two weeks then $1.60 for the app. I'll probably give it a shot. There are a…

This is why I'm at the gym for cardio ONLY. I use free weights at home. The lift area is WAY too intimidating and I'm at that "Judgement Free" place.

Joined Planet Fitness! $10 a month and running in AC. Can't beat it! Of course I'm afraid I won't be able to run "for real" when this heat lets up some and I go back outside.

Totally useless ..... but .... I can tie sections of my hair in multiple knots with one hand. It started years ago with twirling my hair and ended with knots. I'm better with my left hand (and I'm right handed). My daughter's friends think I'm awesome for it!

I've given up laying on the couch ALL DAY LONG and watching TV. Vegging as I called it. I still miss it but don't think I could do it if I tried. I'd last about an hour then have to get up and move around!

I'm trying to give up the diet soda a day habit too. I haven't had a soda in a week. The worse is when a co-worker opens one in the office in the middle of the afternoon. I wish you a lot of luck and let me know if you find The Secret to Success on this! Agree! The sound of a soda can or bottle opening makes me crave it…

Wait until those size 12's get loose! Good job!

Music is a definite must for me. I have a 60 minute playlist of fast beat sexy songs that keep me motivated (i.e., Porn Star Dancing, Bon Bon, Sexy Back, Don't Cha) and just lose myself in them or fantasize about being in a bikini on a beach. When that doesn't work, I yell at myself (in my mind): "Come on you fat *kitten*…

Every single morning I have a 1/2 cup of plain no fat Greek with a 1/2 cup of strawberries or blueberries and 1 packet Splenda. I've been doing that for months and am still not bored with it. I LOVE GREEK YOGURT! You can eat less and get more protein than regular yogurt. Adding the packet of Splenda (or other sweetener)…

Most days are like now: sweat with a faint whiff of deodorant - I just got done at the gym & it's hot as hell out there! When I'm feeling pretty: Tommy Girl, Clinque Happy, or Viva la Juicy.
