  • Did 300 more HK and did the Lying chest press (50) and Reverse crunches (50) Had a bad week, so will not get to the squat hops and side obliques (sorry team) but am making a commitment to do ALL of the challenges for next week.
  • I would like to join this group. My goal is going to be to lose 5 lb, as I have aimed for 10 the last two months, and want to settle back just a little, but still need some encouragement and accountability.
  • Just finished 300 HK as well
  • Doubling up to catch up. Today - did Sumo squats and plank rows, 50 of each.
  • Seems like people describe the weeks in different ways, but my weigh ins were as follows: Starting weight: 210 First week weigh in: 209 Second week weigh in: 206
  • I did the other 300 jj's, so I am finally done for the week.
  • I got the crunches and the squats done. Just need to get the other 300 jj's done now.
  • I have an evening dress that I will be able to fit into when I get down to where I want to be, so I think I will go on a trip to NYC, go to the theater and out to eat afterwards. If that doesnt work out, a spa day sounds like heaven.
  • Wow, these people are motivated! Actually, I am still catching up from being a little under the weather earlier this week, but so far I have done: 50 burpees 50 lunges 50 mountain climbers 50 frog jumps 450 jj's I will try to get the rest done between tomorrow and Sun. morning - I work tomorrow, so will need to finish up…
  • I kind of had the same concerns. I lost down to 179 about 3 years ago and was not skinny... looked good. The people at the gym say that to have the right percentage body fat I should get down to 150, which is fine if I'm not skin and bones. I am doing some weight training as well, so I am thinking that perhaps if I build…
  • Have you all noticed how much more organized this group is than other groups? Good job Jose!
  • Week 1 - 210 Week 2 - 209 I only lost a pound, but that was right after losing 10 lbs in December, so I kinda let down a little. However, I am committing to eating right for the next 6 days to put together a better loss for next week (Ive been exercising great, so I just need to continue what I am doing there). Hope you…
  • I have been doing the 1200 calories to lose 2 lb a week, and to tell you the truth, I think I need to go to the 1 lb a week. It's not too bad on the days I exercise a lot, because I eat back my calories, but I have ended up feeling a bit tired and run down. I am in a challenge to lose 10 lb in January, and after that I am…
  • I felt the same way when I went to my workout, just absolutely drained (was hurting from workout yesterday and didnt sleep well). When I got into my routine, however, my aches went away and I got energized! By the time I was done I felt so much better. Hope that happens with you as well, but if not, give yourself a pat on…
  • Over the past month I have had several events to attend with food and tons of sweets. I went for the fresh fruit (was so thankful that they served some), had small portions of potatoes, etc., larger portions of lean protein like turkey, and allowed myself tiny portions of my favorite desserts. This worked until I came home…
  • If one isnt real fit there is another DVD from beachbody called Power 90 that might be a better place to start. I have used neither, but I used Slim in 6. It works!
  • lol, it wasnt their business, and I dont blame you for being annoyed (I also question their info). Personally I like mine open so that I am accountable, but I believe some may just not know that its closed unless one resets their settings.
  • Thanks so much for the info. This really helps to have this kind of advice.
  • I would like to lose 60 lbs this next year ( lost 35 in 7 months this year). I am hoping to be under 200 within 5 weeks (11 lbs to go). I am doing weight training to build muscle, and am doing cardio like crazy right now. Eventually I would like to settle down to 3x a week - a half hour of weight training followed by a…
  • awesome goal
  • I am going to try and work out twice a day Mon - Sat for the month of Jan. Wednesdays I may not be able to, but 5x/week should be good.
  • Hi, I am 53 years old and have lost and gained back weight several times. I started working out in the gym to build muscle beginning last may, and though I lost inches, and pounds at first, my weight loss stalled. I joined MFP the last of November, and did the December weight loss challenge. I met that challenge barely,…
  • I have trouble believing what MFP says I burn on the elliptical as well, and when I do an hour of elliptical plus a half hour of weight training, the calories it calculates I burn is over 1000. I don't eat all of those back, but am wondering now if I should to ensure I dont actually end up losing muscle? When I first…
  • I'm 53 and having to work my tail off to get the weight off, lol, but as my profile says, I'm not giving up. It would be great to be your friend. We can perhaps have better insight into each others challenges.

  • I spread one wedge on two rosemary Wasa flatbread crackers - the rosemary with the swiss cheese is heavenly.
  • I pay $30/month for all benefits of gym, including weight machines, treadmills and other cardio machines, all classes including water aerobics, pool plus we can use the pool at the Sheraton next door.
  • 2 Rosemary Wasa flatbread with laughing cow light creamy swiss cheese wedge - about 100 calories total and very filling
  • Please count me in also.
  • I would like to join this challenge.
