This will sound so silly but my secret love has always been Sean Connery, even though he is exactly to the day 40 years my senior.

Looks like you have lots of good advice here. I would do a search for dine on a dime. I feed my family of 4 on $50 a week. I do use cupons, and local produce, we eat what is in season, and what ever meat I can find that is marked down. We love dried beans, and eat a ton of rice, barley, quinoa and other items I can get in…

Wow, so many shorties out there. I am 4 feet 7 inches, my starting weight was 178, and my goal weight is 100. I joined MFP on December 1, and have lost 9 lbs so far. I have medical issues, so loss is slow, but I haven't seen 160 anything in 2 years, so I am excited to have made it this far. I have not set a date for my…

Go for the natural occuring sugars, and stay away from refined. On the soda issue, I switched from Coke to Coke Zero, and am doing fine. Seems to taste pretty close to the same without the diet aftertaste. I have cut back to one or two a week, only when I really need something bubbly/ Keep up the good work.

This just makes me angry. The school has no right to do that and bill the parents. I would fight it.

Ugh, at a stand still. Havent gained or lost in 2 weeks. Need to regroup.... at 170 as of this morning.

I think I would want my family and friends to no longer be in crisis. Nothing for myself. I am just so tired emotionally, I don't know that I could handle another crisis. It's too draining. Why can't we go back to being happy again.

a lot depends on your activity level. If you are sedentary, 1200 might be appropriate, if you are even lightly active it should be higher. You may also have your weight loss goal set too high. One pound a week is healthy loss. Anything more and your risking nutrition. Good Luck with this.

If you are on some medications such as beta blockers, your heart rate won't change much. Mine goes from 92 resting (I have a very small heart) to 97 at it's highest. Since I started this med, my heart rate hasn't gotten over 97. So when it gets to 97 I know I'm working hard.

I get my "in between" cloths from thrift stores like St. Vincent, Good Will and our Hospice Thrift. Otherwise, Ross Dress For Less has some very reasonable choices. You need to feel good about yourself! While most of my closet is filled with second hand stuff, I do like to have a new outfit that fits right once and a while.

Awesome, These are things I already do, but it is always nice to have the reminders, and your right, Cheese is a killer, and making it from scratch is really the answer to most of our diet issues. Too much prepared foods. I like to make my own pasta, and sauces, soups, breads and stuff from scratch. I even live on the…

You need to eat at the very least 1200 calories. If you exercise you need to eat back at least half of the calories burned. You won't loose weight by starving yourself. You need fuel to burn fuel. and without 1200 calories you are not likely getting the nutrition you need.

As long as you stick to chicken (without skin) vegies and mashed potatoes, you can get dinner for about 500 calories. Not bad..

Okra and hominy. Both great in chilli, also green beans, I use caned sliced baby potatoes. I also use ground turkey, beans of course, pinto's, black, white, kidney, what ever I have. MMM this is making me hungry!

so, if your body at rest burns 1300 calories a day you need to eat 1300 just to survive. Then if you exercise and burn 300 calories, you will need to eat 300 more calories to provide for the calories burned. Basic rule, you need to eat fuel to burn fuel. You can't have a fire without wood~!

Try using Bio-oil, it's a great product, cheap, and it really helps minimize the appearance of stretch marks. Yes, they are still there, you just don't notice them as much. I get it at costco, it's about $20, the bottle lasts for ever! also check out bio-oil.com

Use fat free (skim) milk, or fat free half and half in your cooking, I don't personally drink milk, but do cook with it. Also Spinach, Kale, Cucumbers (skin on) any Dark Green Veggies. you could also google calcium rich foods....

I like them saute'd with bacon and onions. then tossed with a touch of balsamic vinegar. MMMM....

I have had mine for a little over a week. It seems to work great. I got it on ebay for $80. It is small and not noticeable. I wear it on my bra, that way I'm not looking at it every 15 minutes, and it doesn't catch on things. I used it on the elliptical yesterday, it seems to work fine. It counted every "step" I'm gona try…

went cold turkey, on a long weekend, be prepared for detox, cold sweats, jitters, head aches etc. It sucked, but I feel so much better! Now I just drink caffeen free.

My goal is 1200 calories a day, this was set by MFP. I usually "earn" 300 calories exercising, and eat about 1300 to 1400 calories a day. I am loosing 1 lb per week as MFP predicted. Maybe it is more about what you are or aren't eating and drinking. I'll take a look at your diary and send you a note. I wish you luck, don't…

3182 divided by 4.2 is 757 calories. I would just enter 45 minutes of general dancing and see what MFP says for calorie burn. At least MFP takes in consideration your weight when calculating how hard you worked. Otherwise I would invest in a heart rate monitor or fitness tracker like fitbit or body bug. They really are…

Hi, my name is Niki and I weigh in every day. Why you might say? It is an addiction. Ever since I started MFP, my weight has dropped at least a half a pound a week. I am so excited never to see 178 on the scale again, I have to peak every time I walk by it. I don't just weigh in every day, I do it about 3-4 times a day…

I try to eat back at least half of the calories I earned by exercising. I usually leave about 100 calories. I am losing about 1 lb per week.

Every 5 lbs lost I get $50 to buy clothes, shoes, handbags, etc. When I reach my goal weight of 110 lbs, I get to go to hawaii!
