Welcome! :flowerforyou: I agree... that Blue Line menu is awesome!! My hubby REALLY likes hamburgers and by switching to the portion-wise ones I can have one too without feeling super guilty.

Well Cancuks I made mini-goal #2 for today... 6 glasses of water :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: I'm feeling a bit water-logged right now, but I know in the long run it'll be well worth it. Hard to believe that at one point I was drinking 1.5 to 3 liters of water a day.:ohwell:

Amazing isn't it! I donated all my "small" clothes a long time ago... then just last month I finally got rid of all my "big" clothes because I am NOT ever going to be that size again. Right now I'm stuck in the "in between phase" with not a lot to wear - guess it's a good thing I don't have to go back to work until April…

Hey Canucks, I've been MIA for a while - been dealing with an incredibly emotional family emergency - so I'm actually pleased to say I've only gained 1.5lbs in the last few weeks (it could've been a lot more considering what an emotional eater I am). I am on bored for losing 10lbs by Christmas - and logging in every day…

Grilled butterfly pork chop, multigrain spaghetti (with a little tomato sauce & parm cheese) & asparagus. Can't wait!

Now if only someone would have a bake sale fundraiser - you could bake up the cookies without having to eat them... you'd be helping double - buying the dough and then selling the cookies.... if only it were that easy!

Can you imagine... wearing your HRM to get an accurate number! Now that would be funny!!

Morning! :drinker: Well I'm down 3lbs from last week - I knew I shouldn't have bothered weighing-in at that TOM - so today's a happy day for me... I can honestly say that I'm at my lowest weight in my entire adult life!! Just another 7.4lbs and I'll be under that nasty 200lb mark  - can't wait for that day.…

Congratulations!! I have a feeling I'll be posting this same success story in a matter of weeks! I love MFP!!

Spring 2011 I'll be returning to work after my year of Maternity Leave (baby weight is gone already) and weighing at least another 15lbs lighter ~ that will make me the slimmest I've been in all my adult life!
-
Welcome Pam! I'm right with you this week... gained 1.1lbs from last week. I'm thinking there's a couple of factors playing into my gain. 1) It's that wonderful TOM (only the 2nd time in over a year - man I didn't miss those) 2) I enjoyed a rather yummy turkey dinner this weekend, complete with cake 3) Dinner & Date night…

Morning Canucks :drinker: I'm over the moon to say that I'm officially at my pre-pregnancy weight!! This morning I weighed in at 208.3lbs, which is a 3.6lbs loss from last week. Last Wednesday I changed my goals and have tried to be more active, short walks, mowing the grass, etc. Hope I can keep it up - although…

Jay, Good luck on the thyroid bloodwork! 5 days before you're missed period - it could still be a positive in the making (not that I'm trying to get your hope up) but some women don't even get a positive until 7 days AFTER the missed period! The waiting is pure hell, that much I do know from experience. Just try to keep…

WHAT??? :noway: I can't wait to hear the results - hoping for a nice big FAT positive for you!!!!

oops double post! :embarassed:

Morning Canucks! I've been MIA for a few weeks - been busy with vacation, trying to sell our house and a house full of company. Through all that though I've managed to maintain my weight! Starting today I'm wanting to make myself more accountable for the food I eat and getting my butt doing 'something' that…

It's not a bad thing to not eat your exercise calories. You'll get lots of different opinions on this one... some people swear by eating every single last one, some eat some of them and others eat none. The logic is the more you exercise the more fuel your body needs to function. Personally I don't commit to any one way -…

Absolutely! Welcome Misty. :flowerforyou: Congrats on the loss and happy anniversary! Izzy great job on not gaining this week. I say as long as the scale isn't going up we must be doing something right!
-
Hello Lyndsay!! Absolutely any and all canucks are welcome here!! Congratulations on your 14lbs so far - it's a great accomplishment. We typically weigh-in on Wednesday's. There will be a new topic posted in the Motivation and Support forum titled "Crazy Canucks - date" Welcome to the group! :flowerforyou:

You can, absolutely. The one we tried was served with warmed flour tortilla's. I think I'll try it again at home with a low fat/calorie or WW tortilla. I think there's lots of different things you can do with Hummus but I'd never had it before. You'll have to let me know how the roasted garlic one is - I love garlic!!
-
Great job! I just love seeing that scale go down!! So on Friday night for the first time EVER I tried Hummus... it was a Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and I thought it was DELICIOUS!!! I think I would've liked it even more if it was warm instead of cold. But it was still quite yummy. Oh and I learned that I do not like…

Welcome Alannah! Any and all canuck's can take part with us... we're a small group but growing - we weigh in every Wednesday. Congratulations on your weight-loss so far - and you're right slow and steady wins the race!
-
Bump! I can totally use these - especially being on maternity leave!
-
As long as you're eating a minimum of 1200 calories per day - that's what the body requires to function at a basic level - and you're feeling full I wouldn't worry about eating more.
-
MFP adds the calories burned through your exercise back into your food diary as it expects you to eat them. There are varying opinions on eating exercise calories. Some swear by it, others don't eat any of them and the rest fall somewhere in between (eating some but not all of the exercise calories). Honestly the choice is…

Great post! I was talking to a friend of mine who's a dietitian and her way of thinking is that it's much healthier to eat good foods and be at a weight that is "healthy" and easy for you to maintain, rather than be yo-yoing on a diet.

So I went to an Epicure party last night and may have over done it a bit... oops! :blushing: It wasn't horrible, I knew there would be lots of yummy (high fat) dishes there to snack on so I planned my day accordingly. I still over did it a bit, but everything was so delicious! Until..... the ride home. OMG! You can tell my…

I don't go out for food very often (just so I don't have that temptation there) but when I do I look up the menu of the restaurant before we go. Most restaurants have the nutritional information for their food online now - even McDonald's - which makes it easier to decide what I'm going to have BEFORE I get there.
