The 'Three Twins' brand ice cream is really good. They have a 'Cardamom' flavor which isn't too bad. I've tried 'Rose' flavored ice cream at an ice cream shop, and it's 'Rose' like in the flower. I didn't like it at all!

Don't let all the pregnancy horror stories get to you if you hear any. Everyone's body and health is different. I'm a Type 2 diabetic and ended up gaining about 50lbs during my pregnancy. I also retained a lot of water plus had swollen legs and ankles during the last month and was put on bed rest. After having a c-section…

That is awesome and loved seeing the progress in your pics! Thanks for providing me more inspiration =)

You'd be surprised that if you have a big bowl of candy (that everyone can eat safely) out on the coffee table or a place similar, that it won't be eaten as much. I also keep fresh fruit popsicles in the fridge (along with frozen organic yogurt sticks) as a snack time treat that mine can have in-between meals. Good luck…

NICE! I like =)

that sounds great ... I haven't thought to add seeds to my meal =)

Someone give this guy a 'medal'!

Really good ginger snap cookies! I recently came across some made by Earthbound Farms, soooo good! I first fell in love with the ones at Miette Bakery, made with a lot of butter...

Good Lord Almighty! I totally enjoyed seeing the transformation in your success pics! Thank you for providing more inspiration for me =) ... also sending you a friend request if you'd like to add me too!

I get judged more now than I ever have been these days...which is why I usually prefer to make my lunch at times when most are not in the office kitchen, but oh well!

bump

Oh gosh, for a normal stomach this sounds unheard of. Keep us posted on how long that person lasts...I'd be dying to know. I'm a weight loss surgery patient and even I can eat more than 500 a day :P ..

I had joined Weight Watchers at 4 separate times, and I was the same as you, obsessing about not going over my points and not caring was it was that I ate. It's great that you have a more positive experience in tracking your food on here and plus it's free, here's to wishing you great success!

Love your post, and enjoyed reading it. You most definitely deserve what you did (very much like me sending flowers to myself)...and who are we to judge anyway? Cheers!

That is a nice transformation! High five!

Wouldn't say completely, but am not touching the following for at least a year and it's been 5 months so far... beef pasta rice bread To be fair, I'm a vertical sleeve gastrectomy patient so these foods are a no-no for at least a year...but it hasn't been bad really, I don't miss them...

Here's a website I found just for your question...with pics =) http://whatscookingamerica.net/Beef/CookingPerfectSteak.htm Personally I like purchasing short ribs (cut lengthwise) or Korean style ribs, and marinating them in teriyaki sauce. After it's been marinating for a day I grill them or pan cook it (until cooked…

Ive had a c-section, got to 312 lbs, and have lost 104 lbs so far. I've got hanging skin on my belly, but I have no intentions of wearing a bikini in public anyway :noway: *chuckle* ... I'm just happy that I'm in a much better place than I was last year with a lot more energy. Putting on smaller clothes has been a surreal…

Feel free to add me...I was diagnosed about 15 years ago and have been taking thyroid meds ever since. Wishing you well on your way to bringing the pounds down.

Oh gosh...I totally forgot about the underwear...LOL! Yes, most definitely get a couple of sizes smaller. Parachute undies are so not sexy. Also, allow yourself time to heal after your surgery. A lot of folks I discover seem to be in a hurry to get back to work, which I can understand for many reasons, but defintely use…

I think my first OMG moment was crossing my legs too. I was sitting on my bed and was thinking about trying it and I did it, without leaning over to one side to do it. it was the weirdest thing! Congrats of your weight loss, and getting rid of that buffalo hump too!
-
Congrats on your 75 lbs so far! Amazing results, and I know...a lot of hard work too =)
-
thanks for sharing your success story...truly inspirational =)

Here's something I found on salt, perhaps you might find it useful: http://www.naturalhealthcure.org/diet-and-diseases/side-effects-of-salt-on-body-health.html I have some members in my family that are on salt-restricted diets due to their health such high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, etc.

Thanks for your responses ladies :flowerforyou: I think I will eventually post progress pics, and thanks for sharing yours, very inspirational!

Hi...I've been on MFP since November 2011, and just discovered your Vs Gers group, and glad I did. I had my surgery on March 26, 2012. Prior to surgery (from December 2011 to March 2012) I was able to drop 37 lbs. Since my surgery I have dropped 65, so it's now been a total of 102 lbs lost so far. I'm a 43 year old wife…

How about lowfat cottage cheese? One serving provides about 12 grams of protein.

I was on medical leave for a month.
