I am so frustrated that they took this once free feature away. I tried to ignore it and manually entered my food but it was too frustrating. The scan feature just made making entries much easier. I can’t see myself paying a monthly or yearly fee because I would not be using it everyday. Ugh!

Thank you for your post! I enjoyed reading it along with all the comments. I am 4 years out and didn't eat consciously for the past year and am now deciding to get back to the basics again. I just recently attended the Obesity Help conference and the event greatly inspired me to try again as well. All the best to you & all…

I was sleeved 03/26/12 and still am very appreciative of the resulting benefits. I gained 30lbs from my lowest weight and have logged back into MFP to work on losing that 30. Four years out and the challenges are different than my first year out. My old habits have come back (emotional eating, boredom eating, and the sweet…

Agreeing with Mangopickle! The constipation thing is also something I dealt with. I started taking Colace every night in order to help things move along. It may be frustrating now, but your weight will start dropping again.

Hi there...feel free to add me. I am two years out this March.

A two-month old horse and a bald eagle! I like your list

I was in the same boat as you. I was very afraid of telling my own mom. This surgery decision is for you, and while your mom does fear the worst (as I'm sure you do too), your reasons for making this decision is yours. I didn't tell my own mom until one week before my surgery date. She ended up crying and couldn't sleep…

I do find myself gaining a pound or two if I do not drink in all my fluids. I'm almost two years out coming this March so I definitely know the frustration of that.

How I WISH I could be a stay at home mom/wife! We just don't have the financial security to do so... *sad face*. Oh well...life goes on...

Thanks all for posting! I just *love* checking out the Success Stories section! What an amazing feat you all have done! Clap clap =)

I totally understand what you are going through, and taking that many pills was overwhelming for me too. I am 1 year and 10 months out (was sleeved in March 2012), and I still take as many pills as you, plus thyroid medication and pepcid. Along the way I added flaxseed oil pills and biotin (for the hair loss I had) which I…

Hi Rachel! Feel free to add me as a friend. I was sleeved in March 2012. I lost 30 lbs prior to surgery by using MyFitnessPal. A cousin of mine referred me to this website and have found it really helpful. It was really hard in the beginning to get used to eating within a certain calorie limit, but after a while it was…

Hi! I was sleeved in March 2012 -- feel free to add me too, as well as any sleever =)

Hi there! Going to the introduction seminar and learning about the surgery is definitely a good step. You can also keep in mind that you can still go through with the whole entire process and if you still are not convinced to have the surgery you can still decline the surgery, right up to the surgery date. There are…

Feel free to add me, I was sleeved 3/26/12. I'm not at goal yet, but like you, it's the best decision I ever made for myself. The transition from soft foods to more solid foods can be hard as it was a little for me. I ended up eating more cottage cheese because of it and it sat well with me. Hard boiled eggs didn't agree…

Have you ever heard of the saying "A year from now you would've wished that you started today"? I never ever thought that saying would mean anything to me until now. Despite how I lost weight I had reasons to start - and then I started really caring about my health. Discover what is your own reason on why you want to start…

Perhaps take a chocolate protein drink that you like and put it in the freezer to harden to an almost slushy or even harder than that consistency. Almost like having a 'Wendy's type frosty". Also maybe sugar-free chocolate pudding.

Hi there...for me I think it would be okay to have a little condiment with whatever you are eating. It doesn't hurt to check back with your bariatric nutritionist in case. I think just be mindful of the sugar content, fat content, etc. I think I was eating an egg in the beginning with a little squirt of mustard (only…

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Happy to lend some support! Congrats on getting sleeved, and excited for you with all the weight loss you experience with this tool =) I am a year and 2+ months out. Never regretted my decision, just only wish I was brave enough to have made the decision a lot sooner in…

Perhaps eat whatever is healthy eating to you before you head over to a gathering. This way, you've had something already good for you and perhaps won't binge on too much of anything else being served. You can still socialize and have a beverage in your hand, and maybe just only eat dessert, or have a nice helping of fruit…

A co-worker of mine just gave me a sample of this vegan protein powder to try: Vega Sport Performance Protein -- 110 calories per scoop, 25g of protein (http://vegasport.com/) I had the berry flavor and mixed it with my veggie/fruit blend today. It's sweetened with Stevia so it's more on the sweet side if you want to give…

congratulations on your sleeve...feel free to add me too!

Hi! What are you currently eating for protein? I can try and help suggest a few if I know what you are currently eating (and tired of). Here are some of my own protein items: - Gerber Graduates Lil Sticks (turkey and the chicken ones). The baby food version of vienna sausages. These are soft, 9 grams of protein for the…

Congrats on your decision! Feel free to add me if you'd like =0)

This was yesterday's lunch...teriyaki tofu, steamed pea sprout leaves, boiled baby purple potatoes, and some avocado. I love using my little red plate ;0)

today's lunch...Ogo seaweed & avocado with poppy seed dressing, steamed pea sprout leaves, and a Mandarin cutie...

Through the bariatric program I am in our group was told to no longer have any kind of caffeinated beverages. I had been used to drinking regular coffee 2 or 3 times a day that I worried about this change too. When doing the pre-op diet I switched to decaf coffee and experienced headaches for about 4 days. After that there…

i mix in blue cheese crumbles...love the tangy taste of the two together. I sometimes also mix the blue cheese crumbles with yogurt as well...call me crazy :P

@Johnlatte: Thanks for posting this! My problem is my water intake...printing this out for reference!

Thank you for this topic...now I know that I need to go back to my support group and 're-group' my own efforts. I am about 11 months out and I am not near my goal at all. Old habits are definitely hard to break!
