  • I'm gonna give it shot. thanks so much for posting...and explaining!!! :-)
  • I don't restrict anything but instead I try to eat a better portion. I had pizza just today (1/2 of a cheese personal pan from Pizza Hut and 1 breadstick). I definitely make good choices 80-90% of the time but for me this is a life change and I don't want to live on a "diet". I always make sure to drink a LOT of water and…
  • Junior High school. That was 33 YEARS ago and we'll celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary next week!
  • One very spoiled, 180lb MOOSE (Mastiff) that thinks she's a lap dog and takes up 3/4 of a king size bed! :-) Love my Emma dog!
  • I'm BACK!! Wonderful trip! We logged over 150 miles on foot in 15 days and 2 days were pretty much all car travel and another 2 days we were on the bullet train to/from Kyoto. Not too shabby. I maintained my weight which was really all I was hoping for. I'm still fluctuating a bit, due to travel/water I'm sure. I've…
  • I'm BACK!! Japan was fantastic! We trekked over 150 miles (per BodyMedia Fit) in 15 days! It was crazy and considering 2 days were spent in car and 2 days on the bullet train...pretty amazing. No wonder my feet hurt! :-) I'm logging but I'm taking it slow and easy this week - a little recoup time. It appears I held my…
  • I would suggest cutting your deficit to only lose 1/2lb wk. This will increase your calories but you still shouldn't gain. I would kick back up you exercise as much as possible to your regular exercise routine (even if you have to EASE back into it). I'm just coming off a three week vacation and that is what I did and it…

  • I bought one in July and I love it. I have found the burn rates also to be quite different that the machines at the gym or the burn amounts listed here on MFP BUT I also found that using a HRM gave me very different readings (much closer to the BodyMedia) too. PROS: easy as pie to use. Put it on and wear it. You can wear…

I actually think that my knees feel better too. They seem to be less "crackly" :-) GW - 145 (Dec 25) Week 1 - missed Week 2 - 162 (Aug 29) Week 3…
  • Such a refreshing thread!!! I'd love to join your group. I too get VERY grumpy when I'm hungry! I just upped my calorie intake last week. I have a BodyMedia Fit and I've finally compiled enough info to know that I'm creating a larger deficit than I intended and I'm NOT losing weight as one would expect at that deficit. For…

  • Not sure what happened, but I really didn't fall off the face of the earth! Sorry!:blushing: what's new with me: I got Synvisc shots in both knees yesterday. No problems…
  • I have RA (20+yrs) and was recently diagnosed with OA in my knees. After losing much of the weight, I wanted to try running again and started the C25K program (great program, highly recommend it). I was able to get up to wk 6 but then my knees were just hurting too much. Took a break, started over, and again wk 6 kicked my…

  • Meals were not my friend today. Too many things to do and the twins wanted pizza...I didn't eat. Will do better there tomorrow. Exercise - about 90 mins of walking but not enough to get my heart rate up - back to the Y tomorrow (actually...i'm going to go swing my kettlebell while watching tv for a bit :-)) Water - easy…
  • I'm in again!! Only lost 3lbs last month but the last few are the hardest, right?? :-) Hoping for big loss this month as I am going to Japan for 3 weeks in Nov to visit my husband and then having foot surgery as soon as I return, so I will be out of commission for a few weeks! Good luck everyone!
