I am there too. Had an appointment with the URO/GYNO last week and scheduled surgery today. I'm a runner and this is driving me insane. I'd urge you to have it evaluated. There are measures that can be taken non surgically too. But more importantly, there are other issues that could play into it so you should have it…

Absolutely! I ran a 20K (damn close to a half marathon!) on April 1st fully expecting to be the last man crossing. Guess what??? I was third from last...and by a good margin of time, I might add. Never been prouder!! heck I was thrilled to have finished it, the "not last" place was just icing! Go do it!!

My kids are all grown now (youngest in college) but all three were multi-sport athletes. School was ALWAYS the priority. We allowed them to pick and choose what they wanted to do, the only "rule" was that if you started something, you finished the season. Then if you didn't like it, you never do it again. My son and middle…

I don't log daily laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc however I do log non-routine items. Just this week I put away boxes in the attic, heavy boxes, up/down ladder (Christmas stuff...don't ask why, I know it's March:blushing: ) I have also logged cleaning the roof/gutters and yard clean up (I think I logged both as…

Please always carry some type of ID with you when you are running/walking. Agree with PP you won't need anything else. If you are preregistered, then you don't NEED to be there at 8 but it will give you some time to acclimate to the area and weather/temp. Most of all, just enjoy!

I'm scheduled for a LOT of races in the next few weeks: Mar 17 - 5K Apr 1 - 20K Apr 14 - 5K Apr 15 - 5K (MS Walk) May 5 - 5K (March of Dimes) That ought to keep me motivated and MOVING!! I'll most likely have the girls for all of them so I will be pushing 50lbs of kid in a 50lb stroller so I don't expect that my times will…

hi all! I've had a couple crazy weeks but been pretty successful at the gym - 4miles in 43 mins - TWICE!!! LOL The little things we get excited about. I'm working on doing HIIT at least 3 times a week (and hoping this will get that dang-blasted scale to stop annoying me!) The indoor track at the Y has start markings in two…

We have known each other since junior high school, dated for a short period in HS but remained friends and resumed dating in college. Married when we were 19 and 20 years old, survived 20 years of the US Navy, three great kids, and MANY ups and downs, and we celebrated our 26th anniversary this past Dec. Marriage is…

Thanks for the support, guys! Appreciate it! I have downloaded the Metabolism book (couple weeks ago) and am plowing through it now. I'm going to take measurements later tonight. It's been a while so maybe that will make me feel better  . I had a great workout today. The Y was empty this morning and the more I did,…

Love my Zoots!!! Also have a pair of Vibrams but still trying to adjust to toes! :blushing: Go some place where you can get a good fitting.

Been a little MIA on this thread for a while. Sorry! I'm a bit frustrated. I'm working my butt off and not really showing anything for the effort being put in. I'm gonna mix things up, yet again, and see if anything helps. I'm also due for my annual check up so I'm going to question how hormonal changes affect the…

My learning curve has been that every single time I buy new clothes (1 item or 10, doesn't matter), it's a sure fire way to ensure that I will very soon drop some more weight and wish I had waited! I agree with some previous folks, check out 2nd hand stores until you maintain for a bit (this is my NEW plan). Good luck and…

Water exercise of any kind is wonderful for me. My knees were just officially cited with OA as well as the RA I've had for 20+ years. Water aerobics and walking were the mainstays of my weight loss (74lbs to date). Good luck!

Well, I think I'm going to have to be realistic and reset my goal to do a 10K on 3/17 with you instead of a 1/2. My foot is not giving me the recovery I was hoping for after surgery in Dec. I did 4+ miles today in 45mins but I don't think I can triple that in 6wks. So, I'm still in just downgrading a bit. :-) Hope…
