I make my kids broccoli cheese quesadillas and use plain yogurt as a dip. They like those a lot. We also eat Morningstar Farms blackbean burgers. Costco or Trader Joe's fish sticks are good and not terribly unhealthy. I'm sure there are others too, hope this helps.

All the Kashi cereals are pretty good. Most of then you can eat quite a bit for not a lot of calories and they all have a lot of fiber.

I would recommend Americas Test Kitchen Healthy Family Cookbook. We use it around here a lot. It has lots of good recipes, some are fast others take time, and ALL are healthy.

I'm a stay at home dad of three kids. On nice days, after I take our oldest to Kindergarten I run with the kids in a double jogger. I use Men's Health workouts that involve medicine balls. I use Netflix streaming yoga and kickboxing. A also just do body weight exercises, pushups, jumping jacks, etc.

I was weighing myself everyday. I think I'm going to change it to once a week. It seems more reasonable. I've lost 4 pounds, not trying to lose much more than that. Just trying to maintain a healthy life and not let my weight slowly creep up on me.

Sugar alcohol will be on Nutrition Facts labels on food, snack,etc. It is in foods that are sugar free. BEWARE, that stuff is BRUTAL on some people digestive systems!
