  • I don't know if it's terrified, but when I get to below 200,. I just give up. I don't know why exactly. I think part of me is afraid of how people will treat me. I dont know how to explain it. I just do the same thing though. Yo yo between 195-203 and then gain it. This time I have been successful in making sure I didn't…
  • I don't know about IVF, but I think losing weight will make your pregnancy easier on yourself. I hate the 40's it used to be that I could make small changes and lose weight fairly easily. Didn't need to exercise either, but now I have to work a lot harder at it. So I know how it goes. Good luck.
  • Congrats on your weight loss.
  • TDEE -20% didn't work for me. I gained weight for 2 weeks, before I went back to the 1200 calorie diet. Don't know what I did wrong.
  • Lol I know what you mean. I am 5'2" also. I used to not have to record everything, but now it's a must.
  • If your friend is in danger of dying on a treadmill, it is the gym's right to refuse membership. I think if anything happened to her, she would be suing or some relative would sue (if she died). The gym owner isn't uneducated. He or she is educated very well by his insurance on law suits. I am obese and when I joined a gym…
  • I am at a loss. My son plays rugby and it is a tough workout. Maybe that weight gain was some muscle? Have you done measurements to see if you are losing inches?
  • Marshmallows may be fat free, but they are all sugar. One hundred percent empty calories. Cut out the marshmallows 4 marshmallows are 100 calories, and they don't even come close to being filling. (They are my weakness, too). To gain one pound in a week you only need to eat 500 calories more than you burn daily.
  • I think he is just being honest. The store has a certain image they market to, and that's how the money is made. If he chooses to market to a skinny crowd, so be it. Many teen stores only carry smaller sizes, no larges. That's their prerogative. I know where I like to shop and that's where I go.

  • Yes it's the same concept. One big difference is WW gives you extra weekly points to use at your discretion, whereas MFP doesn't. I have had a lot of success with WW. I like the accountability (I never did it online though). The only problem is the money. Right now $40 a month is too much.
  • Fast food is really bad for you. Not a lot of vitamins, not a lot of variety. High in fats. Mcdonalds has started putting the calories of all their foods on the menu so you can see it when you order. It makes me realize that even a kid's meal has 600 calories. (But does the kids meal come close to filling you up?) Six…
  • Done that. I know a friend of mine has lost 100 pounds and gained it back 4 times now. She has now lost the weight and been at goal weight for 5 years now. It helps to know that someone did it, even if it took 4 times to get it right. This last few years has been rough and I am still learning that food isn't the way to…
  • Why do some people have road rage, and others don't? Why do some people find it easy to live within a budget and others struggle? Why do some people have ED or ED tendencies and others don't? This is just a weakness that needs to be overcome.
  • Calorie counting works for me, most of the time. Sometimes it is discouraging. If its not working for you, and it sounds like that is the case, there are ways to lose weight without counting calories. Weight Watchers has a diet where you eat foods from a list, but never count the calories, and you eat until you are…
  • I did the same thing in college. There just wasn't time for lunch, and I really didn't get hungry. I did eat a large dinner which got my calories in. Maybe try just eating a piece of string cheese and a fruit.
  • If I am cleaning like a mad dog, then yes I count it. I don't count normal everyday cleaning though. I guess you could count it, but if you start gaining weight then quit counting it. Weight loss is a learning process.
  • I have a 4 year old who is obese, so I can truly empathize with your situation. I kept thinking he would outgrow his weight, but he kept gaining. His pediatrician recommended a wonderful diet. It's called the Red LIght Green Light Eat Right Diet. There are no calorie counting, it's learning to eat right. It's a simple plan…
  • I think that is about right for what a doctor would say. Both my sister and I do a 1200 calorie diet, but I do eat my exercise calories back. Only you will know whether or not your doctor's advice works for you. Protein shake or meal replacement shakes can help too. If you want to try something else find a…
  • Great job! It's nice to see the transformation and know that that kind of weight loss is possible.
  • I think that no matter what the age no one should be answering or asking medical questions on this forum. If you aren't a doctor or a nurse with medical training, then you are just giving answers based on what your experience is. As far as parental and relationship advice, a young adult might not be the person giving…
  • Agreed. Plus it will take the weirdness out of your life. much better to be done with the stress it causes.
  • I don't think the 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman is Christian. It's a good one either way. The hall pass is the perfect way to ensure a divorce in the near future. Hmm. I just skimmed the table of contents, but the Love List looks like a good read. I married young and my marriage is wonderful. I do think it is because my…
  • Shakeology is something you can only buy online or through a beachbody coach. That's way a lot of people who drink shakeology are also doing the p90X workout too. It costs about $130 for 30 shakes. (Might be more I don't know if my friend gave me a deal or not). I think the shakes are better than Slimfast, but they are…
  • The cheapest apartment (1 bedroom) rents for $400 here. I don't know anyone who can live with 2 kids let alone 4 kids on $800 dollars. If you haven't been in the situation, you don't know what it's like.
  • Don't know if there is anyway to know what will happen to your boobs when you lose weight. For me as soon as I get down to my goal weight, I am having a breast lift and a tummy tuck and whatever else needs to be done. I never thought I would want it, but I am tired of my boobs sagging and my stomach has never looked the…
  • I thought a 42G was hard to find. A 42G sounds like it would be close to impossible. I buy mine online at essentialbodywear.com
  • It looks like you just lost from your rib cage and not the cup size. I am hoping that I lose both rib cage and some cup size as I really hate being a 42G.
  • I think if you aren't hungry and it works for you then go for it. If you are eating nutrient dense low calorie food you might go under 1200 calories and still be full. Don't try to fix what isn't broken.
