Happy birthday!!! Screw the diet for a day and have a good piss-up!
-
From the Op's post, I think he did have a body fat % test rather than a bmi test?
-
I agree with this guy! Life comes first!
-
That goes for me too!

I'm a geek IT student and trying to get into shape! Feel free to add me, that goes for anybody in need of friends!

Hi mate. Sorry to hear that. I too have lost lots of muscle by doing low calorie diets in the past! The advice I got was to do strength training and eat lots of protein. You can't gain muscle unless you eat a calorie surplus. But you can aim to keep the muscle you've got! Feel free to add me if you're looking for friends!

Hi I'm from England _ anyone can add me!
-
Yeah - that was it. My bad. Thanks!
-
Ah. That was it. I had on old, really low weight of 130lbs from ages ago, that I'll never get down to again (and never want to!) I deleted that and now it shows weight lost! Thank you!!!!!
-
Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried that but still no go lol
-
Haha yeah well I guess that's something!
-
Well it seems to have synced the data... The scales are WiFi and my weight is uploaded to mfp each day. It just displays 0lbs lost. Not the end of the world, I know! Still irritating tho
-
I know its great losing weight and getting healthy... But what exactly is the point when it takes over your life. I would never let it get in the way of social or family occasions. Always go along... You can pick heathy options!

I tend to gain weight in winter. I thought it was fairly standard. Less time outdoors being active. Heavier meals. Fewer fresh fruits and salads etc.
-
IF you're able even consider a run / work out the morning after a night out drinking.... Then your night out was woefully inadequate in my opinion! :p

Cool. I still don't see much variety though to be honest. Most of your calories are from meal shakes / bars. There's nothing wrong with them, but its better to eat real food. This 100 calorie fillet thing (I don't know what that is) you keep having for lunch... Hardly seems like an adequet lunch! And again... Weigh stuff!…

What's your height and weight? You may have made a mistake somewhere, that seems low...
-
Hi mate I had a look.... First of all what's going on with your logging? There's only a few days worth of data you've filled in,... Yesterday for example you had no lunch, or dinner, just breakfast and a couple of snacks? Where's all the real food? I see hardly any veggies and few fruits. Measure things with scales, not in…

I know what you mean. I can quite happily eat < 1200 per day. Its 10pm here, I've had lunch, snacks, evening meal, even a dessert, and I've only had 1115 cals so far... I am not at all hungry. However, I know that's not healthy so I'll be raiding the fridge soon, because I know 1200 is not enough for a guy, I'll be looking…

If it fits into your goal then of course you may have it without guilt. But personally I can't see why anyone on earth would actually want to eat one of those things!
-
You have to eventually. Because you will die

It was 10pm and I was totally beat from being on the go since 9 in the morning so I just couldn't face it then (on a full stomach too) But I've made up for it today anyway! Its a good idea getting up in the morning... But I am the least morning friendly person on the planet... There is no way in hell I'd ever have that…
-
Lol yeah and most annoying ... A meal out meant I couldn't accurately log my calories either! Oh well, I'm back on it today, I may just have to do 2 days in a row which they don't recommend, but it will put me back on schedule at least!
-
^ what he said! ps. if you're measuring everything in cups, then your calorie count is going to be wayyy out anyway!
-
use kitchen scales!
-
you mean you're eating 4500 calories on gym days? I would say this is probably too much. you probably don't burn 2000 - 2500 calories in a gym session. even if it is for a long period of time. exercise machines overestimate a lot. most people eat back 50 - 75% of calories burned
-
thanks so much
-
yeah to be honest the breakfast bars are once in a blue moon....... I don't usually bother with breakfast
-
thanks to all of you for the brilliant suggestions! I do have a thing of whey powder - but its so damn expensive that I try to ration it out and just use it on days where I do my exercises! I absolutely bloody love cheese! this is the problem! and in another thread someone recommended that I ate full fat cheese products to…

At the minute I've got it set to 1798. Apart from my 521 for lunch I've no idea what my total for today because I went out for a meal (grilled sea bass) but I usually end up with like 300 calories at the end of the day that I never manage to use up! Lol
