TIL: Pictures = knowledge Keep on digging. You're really going to deny that people in this thread know very little? Sara is probably the only one to give any solid advice. Your posts are either useless one-liners, or they're directed at insulting people. I've clearly insulted you in some way, my apologies.…

I can assure you that the first two pages were more than enough to send me packing from these forums once more. You're right, I should go through three more pages filled with comments such as the above or people spewing their lack of knowledge on the subject. Why would I ever subdue myself to that kind of torture? This…

I'm clearly misunderstanding what you're saying, so I'll say it again: the upper-back is most-definitely a primary mover. You can check EMGs. Your post lacked depth, you simply said it doesn't work the upper-back and that she needs to do more. The same could be said about her erectors. Here's a quick EMG (scroll down for…

Alright, I'm going to lay this out and make it extremely basic. A lot of the stuff being said in this thread is mind numbing. You don't really need to increase your protein intake as nothing really changes after .82g/lb. 1g/lb is basically just a safety net everybody follows because some dude said it. Falling below or…

Watching sodium intake is largely pointless unless you're sodium sensitive or you're consuming ridiculous amounts of sodium (I consume around 8g a day, hold no water, and have a 108/65 blood pressure). As for reduced (or low) sodium with water retention: Horse kaka. Look up aldosterone. This is released when you reduce…

Good luck on your financial and physique goals of 2012.

A period of fasting followed by an eating window. Most people follow a 16-8 window (16 hours of fasting followed by an 8 hour eating window), but there really isn't a specific way to IF. You can do 16-8, 17-7, 18-6, and so on. Keep in mind, just because you're restricted to an 8 hour eating window, it doesn't mean you can…

What kind of eggs are you eating? Ostrich eggs? Also, you saying plain Greek yogurt is ambiguous, as you're not stating the fat percentage. I'm with Aeolian on this, though. Meat, whey, and dairy.
-
Are you implying that bleaching your food prior to consumption will help you reduce body fat?
-
It's the same reason as why people think Keto is a superior diet. That initial loss in water is what gets people excited. False hope, if you ask me. And that last part is all too true. You didn't gain 10lbs in 10 days, so don't expect to lose it in 10.
-
Don't buy it and don't read it. I can almost promise that those 10lbs she promises in 10 days will be from water and various other sources, not fat. Be realistic. Dieting isn't something that happens overnight, unfortunately.
-
Skipped all of the comments, but anyways... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but to count those 6.8lbs as a true loss would be a horrible assumption. Water, as well as other things, generally account for the weight loss within the first two weeks of a cut. Are you weighing all of your food to know how much you're…

Wow, great suggestions, guys! I think another one for the list is pure Dextrose.

I'm well aware of these minor details, but why would you let someone learning how to use it test you? That's an error on YOUR part. I, on the other hand, would inquire about the person's experience beforehand. Calipers are inaccurate more so than the other measures of body fat, and run the highest risk of operative error.…

I wouldn't bash Dexa or a bod pod.
-
To even compare a bod pod or dexa-scan to calipers would be absurd. @Tg, calipers are extremely inaccurate. People retain fat in different areas.
-
May I ask how this body fat percentage was arrived at? What method did you use to test it? I eagerly await your response.

I don't really believe that. He's probably just someone who doesn't consume a lot of calories, which is why he stays so light. I have a friend who is 6'0 123lbs and claims he eats outrageous amounts of food. I've seen his eating habits and they're nowhere near enough to put on weight, even if he was a three year old girl.…

Are you sure you don't want to rephrase? Are you telling me a natty lifter can gain as 10lbs of muscle in one month?
-
Would you not say by consuming this absurd amount of glucose pre-, peri-, and post-workout that he IS incredibly focused on those minute details?
