I do the same thing! On MFP it's often reffered to as the Olivia Method. Eating your BMR and only eating extra if you burn over 600 cal. This is actually a method that many nutritionists suggest especially to runners.

I really like YOUR hair! And I bet you have a gorgeous smile!

I was the EXACT same way!!! I HATED running! Then one day I had extra energy and a great playlist and I just ran 4 miles without a second thought!!! I'm not sure what happened, but I'm realizing I don't like the thought of running, it's just after the firt 10 min or so that I begin to realize I'm enjoying myself. I should…

I FINALLY fit into my pre pregnancy clothes after nearly 3 years!

I may not be the shoe... I had the same problem when I began running and the doc had me wrap it with an ace bandage while I ran. Mine was a result of running too much without the proper build up of supporting muscle. I'm fine now i just should have slowly worked up to it. It can take time for all the many small supporting…

 I have an andriod and I use an app called Restaurant Nutrition. I hope this helps you out

Same here! It was a nice reality check and affirmation that I ABSOLUTELY need to keep losing :frown:

I've only done level one so far and I'm getting comfortable so I SHOULD move to level 2, but I'm a little afraid to for that exact same reason! :ohwell:

HAHAHAHAHAHA! STRANGE!

I haven't been my "ideal" weight since the second grade. In 9th grade my mother pinched some fat on my tummy and told me I needed to go on a diet, but she never did tell me what or how to go about that (She is obese). That was when I first noticed I was heavier than most other girls my age. Later, My Father would see me…

Do a search for "Olivia Method" she explains about how to set up your MFP so that you don't go under your BMR.

Tell me about it! I work with a bunch of Military men who eat whatever they want and say the same kinda things! I'm still working out what is right for me. I set my calories at 1,310. I'm 5'4". They were originally at 1200 but I was stuck so I uped them and now the scale is just begining to move again. My sister in-law set…

We're pretty close other than height! 5'4" SW 172.2 CW159.8 GW 130ish

For some people it may be about pushing the blame on something other that themselves, but it seems the posters intention was simply to provide some interesting information. Sugar isn't good for us, bottom line, we've known this for years but many choose to ignore it. The video is complete science. FACT.

I have to admit, I WAS one of those people at first! My sister in-law told me about MPF and I was interested, but the food logging sounded so tedious! Two weeks later I got serious and have lost 12lbs!
-
Thanks for sharing! I've been drinking coffee before hitting the gym lately and have found that I'm more alert and ready to go!

Actually, you obviously should watch the video. Fructose that is naturally in fruit is counteracted by the large about of fiber per fructose ratio. No one knows everything, so everyone should be open to learning something new. The bio chem breakdown explanation in the video would help you to understand better.

Gender: Female Age: 29 Height: 5'4" SW: 172 CW: 160 GW: 130 NSV goals: To actually get to wear skinny jeans, to keep up with my toddler (daughter) and be a healthy/great role model for her, and of course to turn heads (esp. my husbands)! LOL! Add me if we're weight-loss twinsies (or even distant cousins)! *SW = starting…

I often fall off the wagon during that TOM. I have to just brush it off and try harder next time. It may be a minor set back, but it could be worse ;

Thank you for posting! I watched the entire video and have some educational background in Human Physiology so I too am very interested and enjoyed the learning experience. Everyone keeps posting without watching the whole video so they don't understand how the body completely processes Sucrose & Fructose at the molecular…

Eat This Not That said Fage Plain Greek Yogurt is the healthiest so that's what I've been getting. I think it's really good with sliced banana and sometimes I add granola or some crumbled breakfast cereal (I like quater oat squares - cinnamon becuase it's a good source of protein).

I've found the only way I can prevent undoing all my week long hard work is to keep busy. A walk around the neighbor hood (or 2), do a little cleaning, work on some hobbys/crafts take a trip into town (not during a meal time, it's too easy to go through the drive thru lol!).

Sometime I wish there was a "Like" button for MFP! Good Luck to you!

A good protein breakfast (36g carbs, 37g protein, 329 cal): 1/2 Cup Oat Bran Hot Cereal (make with about 1 cup hot water) 1Tbl Peanut Butter 1 Scoop Chocolate Whey Powder Sweetener (I use 1 packet truvia) It tastes like a no bake cookie!

You could be gaining muscle... were you very active before?
-
I too went through a phase like that, except my appetite keep going another two weeks afterwards and my mood swings became unbareable! I finally decided to try SlimQuick to help me out since it helps support hormones, stress, appettite, etc. Of course I do recommend trying a more natural approch first. But it has cured my…

If it's a cold yes, if I have a fever, no! I've read that working out (but not OVER doing it) can actually help you recover more quickly. Something to do with the movement of your muscles help your lymphnodes work more effiecently. I definately agree with the others that rest and lots of liquids are VERY important. I like…
