  • My hubby and I like to make breakfast muffings on Sunday to last us the week. We beat about 18 eggs in a large bowl (you could even sub liquid egg whites for some of the eggs to reduce calories) and add cooked crisp and crumbled bacon pieces or turkey pepperoni or cooked ground breakfast turkey sausage and some veggies.…
  • I've found many exercise estimates to be a little "Off." I finally broke down and just bought a FitBit for $96.00 that tracks my movement and adds the extra cals I burn to myfitnesspal so I have a better estimate. You can get more info using the TOOLS tab at the top of the page. Good luck to you!

  • YES! You should increase calories! 1200 might be alright is you're short and don't work out AT ALL!!! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/3047-700-calories-a-day-and-not-losing http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/501511-great-read-on-plateau-ing These threads explain why you should eat more :)
  • Well, I can't view your diary so I can only share what helped me. I lost the first 10-12 lbs while eating 1200 cal and I became depressed, exahusted and I plateaued. Then I read this thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/501511-great-read-on-plateau-ing Hope this helps :)
  • Thank You! I've adjusted my MFP goal to my BMR (1400 cals) and my exercise goal to 0 so that when FITBIT adds all the cals from movement (including my workouts) I will see a more accurate calorie goal.

  • I did the same thing, but felt SO MUCH BETTER after upping it to 1400 and sometimes 1600. I gained, but then started losing again and this time, I wasn't losing muscle. I try to NET between 1000 and 1300 cals. Doing this the healthy was is SO IMPORTANT when it comes to losing the fat for the long term.
  • You look amazing!!! Keep up the good work  I have also lost 20 and still need to lose 20. It's always nice to see hard work pay off
  • Click on a main forum topic and towards the upper right select new topic.
  • Banana egg white pancake: Mix 1 mashed banana with 2/3 c. liquid egg white and cook like a pancake Serve with 1/4 c sugar free syrup (210 for pancake + 20 for syrup= 230 cals total) I also like to add 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein :)
  • This!^^ It also happened to me, I went from 1200 to 1400 and gained a little, then a couple of weeks later my weight loss took off and I felt SO MUCH BETTER eating more! Just remember, being healthy is the ULTIMATE goal
  • If it were me... I'd wait until I start eating normal again. This is only because I get discouraged easily and if I input my weight as lower and then weighed my self a week later and weighed more, I'd feel really bummed and like all my hard work isn't worth it. However if you don't get discouraged as easily, I'd say go…
  • Seems you already know what is wrong... TOO FEW CALORIES!!! A spike day once in awhile isn't making up for all those skimmpy days! Your body can't burn fat if it's using all the calories to just SURVIVE! I suggest not NETTING under that and if you are strength training, you need more fuel to build a toned physique.
  • Too few calories most days except maybe for the last couple. 1000-1200 cal really only are appropriate for people who like under 4'9! Your body has to have fuel in order to have energy to burn fat! That is why eating back your exercise cals is SO IMPORTANT!
  • It took me awhile to find a good groove as well! As long as you're eating healthy and including a variety of foods, I wouldn't necessarily focus on the percentage of carbs, protein, etc at first. I'd just continue to eat health, watch portion sizes and eat your BMR plus exercise. After a few weeks I would re evaluate and…
  • You have a beautiful smile!
  • "Stupid B****!" I HATE when men say this!!!! *luckily they don't say it to me just at other women when driving or shopping, etc.*
  • ^^ This! Protein helps keep me nice and full! Try this: Breakfast - 1 mashed banana mixed with 2/3 cup liquid egg whites- cook like a pancake! Serve with 1/4 cup syrup I use log cabin sugar free 20 cal for 1/4 cup. (230 calories for the whole thing including sugar free syrup) Sometimes I add 1/2 scoop choc. whey protein…
  • I do make time for exercise, but I work ridiculously long hours, many weekends and still have to put food on the table for my family, so I often don't have time for preparing a meal from scratch. I'm sure it is more nutritious, but I think it's a little much for you to assume everyone's day is just full of sedentary time!…
  • I've never played it, but you could add cardio and browse the database. Perhaps it's like circuit training? If it's just weigh lifting they have that listed under strength training. There should be something in the database that fits. It will automatically calculate the calories burn according to your account stats/info.
  • Probably, but are you sure you threw up everything? I also have a hard time taking vitamins so I use vitafusion gummy's. They are a lot easier on my tummy ;)
  • WOW! You look amazing! Way to put forth the effort! You get it girl!!!
  • I had the same problem then I stumbled upon the "Olivia Method" I suggest doing a thread search and reading up on it. It instantly got the scale moving for me again!
  • My weight loss always slows on the scale around that time of month. I see the most change a week after my period. Hang in there! Keep your eye on the big picture. Sometimes I find myself living week to week inbetween weigh ins. Then I realize, even if it takes a year to lose 30lbs, I'm NOT going to quit! You can do it!!!
  • I completely understand wanting to keep your diary private. I chose to let mine be public with a little fear that I might get criticized but have actually found that my friends on here are actually VERY supportive and not negative at all! So...you're wondering why the scale has quit moving? First of all, You'll be ok…
