I put calisthenics vigorous, but I too am not completely sure which would be the most accurate formate to choose.

It has to do with the way your body metabolizes/processes the "sugars" in your liver. It's not like the typical fruit sugar, it's more like sucrose or high fructose syrups. Your body is more likely to store 30% of it as fat. For reference is anyone cares to go more indepth:…

That it's better/healthier to lose weight eating at or above your BMR as opposed to the 1200 cal I was eating in the begining! If you're feeling fatigued and moody you need to up your cal. If the scale is stuck, up your cal. As you lose weight your body is consistantly needing more and more fuel :) GO ON....EAT!!!

I felt drained when I wasn't eating enough calories. I feel MUCH better now that I eat 1400-1500 cal daily plus exercise. Also, not drinking enough water will do that. I hope you feel better soon :)

Sound like your trainer knows what he is talking about. You will most likely have a clearer view on it in a couple weeks. Hang in there! Don't give up, the scale will eventually start moving the right direction again

Thanks for posting! I will have to make some tonight, I already have jello and protein powder :)

It was meant to be, lol!

I definately agree you are eating way too few calories! Your body can't burn fat if it's using all the cals for survival!
-
You should find out what your BMR is (cals burned at rest) and don't eat less than this. Your body needs those cals to function. As long as you're eating at least this much, you may not necessarily need to eat back all your exercise cal. EXAMPLE I burn about 1370-1400 BMR I maintain at around 1700 something I usually eat…

How long has it been since you upped your calories? Sometimes is just takes a while for your body to adjust to haveing more fuel. My suggestion would be to stay with it for a couple more weeks and then re-evaluate. Also, drink a TON of water to help with the awful bloating we all hate so much! DEFINATELY don't lower your…

Excellent attitude! I try to keep an open mind as well. How has your weight loss progressed since uping your calories or did you just start this as well?
-
Thanks for the suggestion! It's so hard for me to imagine eating more than 1500 cal! My sister--in-law has lost 40lbs eating around 1000 cal!!!

I'm 5' 4", 29 yrs, weigh 157, desk job, do 3 days cardio 30-45min and 2 jillian michaels workouts (strength/cardio combo). I've been trying to eat around 1370-1400 cal sometimes 1500 cal. Does this sound too low?

Everyone is different so of course there is a variance in accuracy so I'd say try it for a couple weeks and tweak as needed

 Here is a BMR calculator http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/

ONLY with fruit - grapes or pinapple, pears, peaches or sometimes melon.

The scale finally started moving for me again after I made the following changes... I saw a thread on the Olivia Method (you can search for it and read up on it under the message boards search) and have changed my cal goal accordingly. I was eating 1200 cal. I tried eating back my exersice cal I tried not eatting them and…

ic20blue - I love the pic as a whole! It looks like it should be on the cover of some new music album! Very Nice!

Use the "Olivia Method" (you can search for the topic thread)!

Is your weight stuck or going up and down? You might want to do a thread search for the topic "Olivia Method." It has helped the scale start moving for me again.

I eat gummy vitamins - multi and C and D and B also immune. They are delicious and the doc says they work just as well as regular vitamins!
-
 I can't eat it by itself either. I have to add some grapes, pinapple, peaches, pears or melon to it.

Congrats!!!

I had the same problem after the first month. I was told to cut out as much processed foods as possible. Also, sugar is a huge one. The processed sugars and fructoses are processed differently in your body. The way your body processes these down to the molecular level shows that your body is more inclined to store instead…

Great job, keep it up! I'm finally running 4 miles in 45 minutes! Remember, it doesn't matter how slow you run, you're still beating everyone on the couch!

I ate a 6" buffalo chicken on wheat with tons of veggies from subway today! It was only like 340 cal!
