I've got three scheduled so far this year, the first one is March 18th. My top runs right now are about 9 miles, time to start inching that distance up. :)

Life long Bruins fan, last year was one of the best of my life. :)

My family owns a turkey farm. I work in the slaughterhouse at their peek season part-time. Meat pays the bills.

I only use my treadmill for intervals or if I am being a wuss and refusing to run in the snow. When I run outside I listen to audio books, when I run intervals I listen to the angriest music I can find. So I don't really think about anything, I just sort of let go. :)

I will often eat a 1/2 grapefruit (or give it to one of my kids) and use the juice as dressing. It's delicious. :)

I would never force anyone to look at me without LOTS of clothing, it is just not fair to their eyes.

It is the worst possible time of year for me. You can read about it in my latest blog post if you'd like, but it isn't a fun story.

I roll a d8 to see which section to enter, then roll a d6 and choose from the top six posts, then roll a d20 after assigning each of the first 20 poster's names to a number. Wait.... that's NOT how I'm supposed to do that? Well, crap...

UPDATE: My eldest daughter and I made these last night and we both had one... they are GOOOOOD. I brought a pile to work, and so far the excess fat and salt is making all of my co-workers happy little zombie slaves! Muhahahahahaaa!

I run outside in the rain, snow, and temperatures down to about 0. However, when it gets to be too much, I do any one of the following: Treadmill in my basement Weights and treadmill at my gym (about 15 minutes away) Push ups and sit ups (25 PU/ 25 SU, 24 PU / 24 SU, etc all the way down to 1) ... it feels like your being…

When I'm hungry and it's not time for a scheduled meal (yeah... I schedule, OCD -=shrug=-) I drink water or black coffee. Coffee has almost no calories and I always opt for decaf. It has a strange side effect of making my stomach feel smaller.

I would certainly like to think so. I shudder at the possibility that we may be the most intelligent life in the universe...

Sometimes my OCD really is useful. :) I weigh everything and prepackage everything all the time and take comfort in the routine of it.

Sounds delicious!

Agreed the Couch to 5K program (http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml) is a great way to start. I started running two years ago to lose weight with this method and now I run Half-Marathons. (albeit slowly ;) )

whoa whoa whoa.... you're supposed to WORK at work? Crap. Nobody tells me anything...
-
Absolutely amazing results! Congratulations! :)

My youngest daughter started walking... soon she shall be running with me! Muhahahaaaha! :)
