i would like to know too. as soon as i get rid of a little more fat, i would like to focus on my abs more. i'm sure i already have them, but they are covered over by fat. i don't think there would be any harm with working them everyday for a few minutes. 10 minutes maybe. i won't do abs though until some more of the fat is…

reads yummy. thanks.

i totally love the library and barnes and noble.

i too found i could not do some of the basic yoga moves, so i only do the ones that i can do. eventually, you will start to loosen up and can move on to the more difficult moves. i might just continue to stretch, it does get better the more you do it. also, i prefer to do yoga after my workout when my muscles are warm, not…

this is also my question. i recently read that the way - after you lose the weight - to get rid of belly fat is strength training and lowering your [bad] carb intake. i don't know what else to do myself. i can't lose any more weight after i get rid of these 4 pounds and just have belly fat left. so i will try…

fantastic. you look great!

you look great girl. nice job! w00t!

you can even search yoga videos online. there are several out there. also if you have cable on demand, there are fitness shows there with yoga sessions. if you have a library card, you can rent fitness (yoga) videos for free for 7 days - at least i can. i also picked up a yoga book from the library and have several moves…

Welcome again or should I say back. :)

mine is public to my friends, i think, but i doubt just because someone's diary is private that means they are not serious about losing weight. we don't have to share everything here. if someone wants help, then they can open their diary, but if they're not asking for help, but only support, i don't see why it's a problem.…

totally awesome. congrats to you.

welcome aboard, it's fun here and we get to lose weight

try a pair of black dress pants (for extra slimming), a belt (if you want to show off your waist) and a shirt you can tuck in, but is not too small that will put your behind on broadway if you're looking to hide it. i'm corny and might wear jeans, a turtle neck and a blazer. not sure of the temps where you are, if it's hot…

outside IS better. i didn't think it mattered until i ran outside for the first time. better on my shins too.
-
super. not sure what mine is. that i remember 1010, but once i worked out for 2 hours and 20 minutes. i should go look. hmmmm congrats!

don't be mad if it says you've burned 4 calories. it's better not to know. :) hahahha
-
yikes. i feel bad for you. i know what it's like to want to run, but can't. i go to a chiro and that has helped a lot. i just reinjured something and will be increasing my visits with him (sciatic pain). i hate to rest, but it's necessary for a recovery, so if that's what you need to do - in addition - to losing the…

absoutely take a day or two off. i'm in a rest period right now, and i hate it, but mostly from sciatic pain. if i run on the treadmill the pain comes back, outside, no problem. rest.

oh yes, yes, yes, i have it too. darn it! stretching and yoga helps. i also have a TENS unit that helps. exercise has actually helped A LOT, staying active. however the past few days, it's been bothering me and i thought it was just my knee, but it's not. it has cut into my running workout and i'm mad. stretching helps,…

i probably wouldn't say anything unless they asked. i assume people "know" what they are doing. heck even MFP says if we're eating too few calories if we're under by a lot when we click complete diary. after a few months, when they ask how come i'm not losing weight, that might be a better time to look at their diary and…

oooh that's my favorite meal too. usually i just make it the way i always do and just eat it, but less of it. - maybe a half cup or third of a cup. sometimes a cup, depending on my exercise that day. i recently saw a low fat version, maybe you can do an online search, sorry i don't have a recipe. try with wheat pasta too.…

http://www.runnersworld.com/article/1,7124,s6-241-286-289-12604-0,00.html search shin pain on runnersworld, they have exercises and articles on this subject.

i use "icy hot". it does help my muscles, but not my shin pain. i would start with the shoes. people tell me to go to a specialty store so someone can watch how you run and recommend the right shoe for you. do you strike heel to toe or do you run on the ball of your feet. someone here recommended chirunning to me and i'm…

actually since i've been running outside, i haven't had a problem with them. on the treadmill though, 9 out of 10 times i have shin pain. i changed my shoes, shortened my stride and it helped for a minute, but that was it. where do you run, pavement or treadmill?
