  • I don't like to work out on an empty stomach, but I also don't like to work out on a full stomach either. I have found that if I have a snack about 30min-1hr before I work out I am usually good to go. I usually have peanuts and raisins for a little sweet and a little salty:bigsmile:
  • Well you have come to the right place. I have been here just a short time and already having more success then I had on Weight Watchers. The support system is great, especially if you are like me and have trouble sticking to it. You can add me as a friend if you would like and we can help each other.
  • I did WW before I came here. I just started here, and although I did lose some weight on WW I find this much easier to stay on track. Good luck to you!
  • I'm not a doctor but that doesn't seem like enough calories per day, especially if you are working out as well. You lost 5lbs since this Monday? I have learned from experience the slower & more healthy way you lose weight the more likely (and easier) you will be to keep it off.
  • Toot away....that is a great accomplishment!!
  • I will add you right now!
  • I did Weight Watchers and although I did lose some weight it isn't for me. Being restricted to 23 points was much more intimidating then 1200 calories. Also I found that when I ate out a lot of stuff wasn't on there. It just became more of a hassle then I thought it was worth. On the other hand, I do know some people that…
  • Count me in!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I also struggle with consistency. You can add me as a friend if you would like. The more support the better!!!!!!
  • I did not know that a support system can make a world of difference.
  • I try do to the same thing. Unfortunately about half the time I actually do it. The other half I get wrapped up in what I am doing and forget to eat something small. I was wondering though what kind of things are you eating every 3 hrs? I have trouble sometimes picking food that is easy for me to eat for a snack at work.…
  • I am definitely hooked!!
  • Just wanted you to know you are not alone. I have the same problem and have come to realize I eat for the same reasons. Unfortunately I am still struggling with this. The frustrating part for me is I have identified the reasons I do it but I haven't quite figured out how to change the habit. Best of luck to you and if you…
  • I absolutely love Brooks. They have done wonders for my feet. If there is a store in your area that specializes in running I would go talk to them. The place in my town fitted me for my shoes and I haven't had any problems. As far as shin splints make sure you are doing a 5 minute warm up and cool down. The cool down is…
  • Welcome, I recently joined to and am also looking for friends!
  • I was told when I bought my first running shoe that most good shoes you can get about 600 miles out of them. I guess though it depends on what you are doing. The best way to gauge it is by how your body is feeling. If you have a store in your area that is directed towards running (instead of those chain stores) I would…
