Yes, she put me on meds. 25 mg of Hydrochlorothiazide. Pretty low dose - basically a water pill. I go back in two weeks to get my blood pressure rechecked. Hopefully the small amount of meds help - but I think what's going to help the most is watching my diet. I've been wanting to lose another 15 pounds so I am sure this…

If she is getting the shakes she is probably hypoglycemic. Telling her not to eat is not wise. She needs to get her blood sugar up.

I don't get jealous of other women, I get inspired. Maybe I'm an anamoly.

It's definitely been a lot tougher. I decided to focus on my body composition rather than my weight and that seems to make all the difference. I will be 53 in September and I am 5"2' and weight about 133. Honestly, I would like to be at 120 but I feel that short of starving myself or going on an extreme clean diet - I may…

Love, love, love my fitbit! I wear it everyday. It really does remind you to move. I always make sure I get in at least 10,000 steps. Well worth the money.

Thanks - this is helpful :)

I just looked up Edamame. I had no idea it had so much protein. Wow!
-
Oh, I like your list - nice and high on the protein!

I've been pretty good - I think the worst is dipping a hard roll into the Thousand Island Dressing that came with my bay shrimp salad. Otherwise - ate real clean.

Lol, I like your response. I don't need to be perfect, just wondering if it's obtainable :)

One persons junk food is another persons treasure. For the purposes of this challenge, What constitutes junk food? I have not had any cookies, candies, pies, cakes, muffins, cupcakes, ice cream, chocolate etc. for about a month now. But I do eat tortilla chips, sweet potato fries and I drink wine occasionally. Junk food to…

I started week 2 on Friday. It's hard but I am really loving it. My stomach actually looks a little flatter. Haven't measured yet - will do that when first month is up.

1/2 plain bagel with 2 tbs crunchy peanut butter and a green apple.

I am doing Insanity pretty much to the schedule. The days I know I am not going to be able to do it - I will take a walk but that's pretty much it. I just want my muscles to recover so that I can continue with Insanity and not have to bail due to injury. I'm 52 - so I gotta be careful.

I put hummus on mine. Tasty.

When your oldest son turns 27 - that did it for me!

IMHO - there is enough love to go around. You are a very important part of his life and he loves you but he nees needs to do what's best for his kids. That does not take anything away from you. I would get on board and make them just as important as your boyfriend.

I think I was misunderstood. I don't really eat that many processed foods - meaning no junk foods - it's only occasional. But if I do, I don't usually count the one apple and one orange that I had that day - I don't go overboard on fruit.
-
How can a raw orange be bad for you - unless of course you're diabetic. It's high in sugar, but I am only counting processed foods.

Ah thanks! You just made my day! (I'm 52)
