  • I honestly didn't realize that this would be such a controversial topic! This is the norm where I live. We do not have public tracks for walking, the only one is at the local high school, and you have to be a student or faculty to access it. We have rural roads with no side walks and there are a lot of hills and curves. It…
  • Omg. Like I said in my op, I normally don't get nervous around strangers, whether its a man or woman. And have never had this same feeling, even in other types of environments. There was just something that didn't seem "right."
  • Because I'm not the only person who goes there to walk, run, bicycle, jog, skateboard. It is used by various other people in the community for the very same thing. There are even signs posted by the church that owns the property saying that it is completely welcomed as long there is not a funeral service actually happening…
  • 5'-5", currently at 130-135, jeans size 7-8 are getting a little slouchy looking on me. I have my goal set at 125, but when I started it was at 150. I have lowered it by 5-10 lbs each time I've reached it. I have been unintentionally maintaining at this weight for about 6 months now. I would like to say I've been focusing…
  • Omg, I love that dress! I would wear that everyday around my house just to feel sexy!
  • And repeat frequently.
  • I work out at home, so I fold laundry, load the dishwasher, dryer, washer. One time I even swept the floor. Not all at the same time. But if I west for one minute, I spend that minute doing a chore and repeat until its done.
  • Do your photos every 4-6 weeks. The every two weeks is too soon and will burn you out. Also, on some of my "progress" photos, I looked flabbier. I almost wanted to hide them or delete them. But I kept them anyway. I noticed that a few weeks after the bad pictures, I would lose several pounds or inches at one time. Once I…
  • I read your title as "I am a SHELLFISH person." It was very intriguing. But after reading your post, you are not a shellfish or a selfish person. These are adults you are dealing with. They are perfectly capable of getting themselves up. I would tell them the evening before, "I am leaving at (x time), if you are not in my…
  • A little too ironic, yeah, I really do think.
  • Thanks, I will do that.
  • I just downloaded the smaller version of this. The 5k one? I have never been a runner, but the past few weeks I have really wanted to try it out. I thought having this app might help. It starts you out slow, for beginners I guess.
  • You sound about 120lb overweight. Kick him to the curb, then put your sexy pants on and hit the club to celebrate! He's tearing you down. What he's doing is abusive and manipulating. You don't deserve that. No one does.
  • Six months ago, I said "of course, its crazy not to!" To this same question. But the past few months have for some reason had changes in my cycle. TOM now brings intense cramps and nausea and dizzy spells. I do try to keep working out, but if I get too sick I have to rest longer between sets and sometimes just give it up…
  • We don't have a gym. I work for a small, family business. I wish they would allow a longer lunch break so that I could at least take a long wlk or something. But 3-4 days a week my job can be decently physical. Moving things, cleaning, general repairs and things. By the end of the day, I can work up a decent sweat, and go…
  • It depends on the event. Just hanging out with people I am acquainted with, but seldom talk to. I would love to, but I have prior commitments. Even family gets ranked according to importance. Is the event something that only happens once a lifetime. A friends baby shower? A special anniversary or birthday dinner? Fine, I…
  • Before. I'm lazy I wouldn't want to have to get up, getdressed, go to the kitchen, make my coffee, drink it, then go back to the bathroom, get undressed and weigh. So much simpler to get up, stumble to the bath, pee, then weigh. Then your set for the day.
  • Yep. Double dipping. I only add a walk or cleaning or something if it is in addition to my daily routine. Before anyone says anythjng about cleaning, I should clarify that this is my job. I spend 6-8 hours deep cleaning campers and RV's. I've actually stopped counting that and just figured it in. But when I started MFP I…
  • I don't think 4 lbs will make a difference either way in fitting into a bikini. What type of workouts are you doing? Strength? Cardio? A mix of both? How much are you eating? To get the best body you can, I would much rather do full strength training. In 3 hours per week of strength training with free weights, I have had…
  • I had great results with it last year. I lost several lbs and inches. Just follow the program as designed. Do an estimate on your calories burned and eat them back. I will say that Mfp estimated me at like 300-350 calories burned, so I only ate back 75% of whatever it showed me burning. It does estimate high.
  • Regular exercise, plenty of water, and a daily pro biotic. Takes a week or so to get you straightened out, but it will help. Also helps with gas and bloating.
  • Mine has trouble remembering both my birthday and our anniversary. I remind about a week in advance by saying, "So for my birthday next Tuesday, I thought we could...". Whatever. That gives him a heads up and let's him know what I would like. Double win!
  • I work out at home. I only feel weird when my brother in law comes over mid workout. He stares like a creeper.
  • I remember that moment. Congratulations, you're on your way. Don't lose this focus.
  • If I were you, I would do strength training with some heavier weights. Light dumb bells won't do what you are looking for. If you only have access to dumb bells, make them heavy. Do strength training with heavier weights 3 times a week, research a full body program. You can do cardio on your days off of strength if you…
  • Based on what you've put here, I would do lightly active and then log your intentional exercise (planned workout sessions). Eta: it seems like you only need to lose 15 lbs or so. I would set your goal for 1/2 lb per week, if you haven't already. I honestly feel like you will have better results that way.
  • I don't personally like fried eggs. I like my eggs scrambled with butter instead of spray, mixed with diced ham and shredded cheese. If you like them fried, eat up. Eggs are delicious and a great source of protein.
  • First photo was Sept 12, around 155-160 lbs. Second was taken last week, 134 lbs.
  • This is the truth! In my favorite brand and fit of jeans, I am a size 7/8. I can get the same brand in a different fit and have to go up to a 9/10. I would rather be happy with how my body looks in and out of clothes.
