Oh wow! You look fabulous! Kudos on the job well done!

Thanks. :) it's definitely been a very interesting year. I wouldn't trade it for the world though.

What I found really worked for me, especially in the beginning, was calorie counting. I originally kept these rough numbers in mind: 350 for breakfast, 450 for lunch and 500 for supper. with 1-2 50 or 100 calorie snacks. Until I got used to different portions, I felt more comfortable keeping track of things like that. It…

I'm finishing what I've started and I'm setting myself on the right track.

Awww, thanks! And you're not the first to ask me if I had Tinkerbell's dress. :)

@MsQt Wow, you are so close to reaching your final goal, and from your display picture I can tell that you are one pretty lady. :)

There are oranges behind you.

I loooove naps. When I'm lacking in energy, nothing feels better than a nap. Some days, that's all that will set me right when I'm feeling energy-less.

I'm a big fan of Subway. They have decent options and you can get nutritional information at all locations so you can choose wisely. Though, a word to the wise, never ever do their ranch sauce. SO bad for you.

you don't have to avoid eating. you just need to avoid eating things that are bad for you. You can snack ( I love air popped popcorn (only 61 calories per 2 cups)). I love popping in a good film or reading a book to unwind.

my thoughts exactly! hahah

I wonder if this approach would work for me. I might have to give it a try. find some way to incorporate chocolate in some form.

hmmmm. it seems like I have some products to add to my "check it out" list. I wonder if I can find some of these.

Yep. Same here. I just joined here, but I've been working on losing weight since May 2010. This summer I managed to get down to 142 but living in a dorm and stress has helped me gain 10lbs since then. So I'm trying to take that off and more before the summer hits.

I find the turbo fire videos are pretty good. not strictly dance, but still amusing.

I've actually tried the pudding and personally it doesn't cut it. I like to chew my chocolate. I did like the mousse though. And I agree, I could never stop at 5-10 chips. I don't refer to it as chocohol just for kicks.

Those back handed remarks are often the ones that hurt the most. I found it lot less painful when people just said what they thought instead of sugar coating it. Congrats on approaching your first goal-- the first of many I hope! :) Keep up your hard work.

I was to lose weight for me. I've spent my entire life overweight. My weight problems didn't stem from my own actions but rather by the action (or inaction) of my mother who thought that mcdonalds etc was a perfectly appropriate meal for every meal. At my heaviest, I weighed 240lbs and the biggest size I have ever worn was…

mmmmmm. some of these sounds good. anyone have any tips to make less mushy oatmeal?

I personally enjoy making a stir fry and putting it over noodles. I will mix in a tablespoon of Alfredo sauce into the veggies and that does it for me.

I just feel that some days, even if my calories are under my carbs are almost maxed out from the fruits and veggies I've been eating. is this normal?

Sisterly relationships are always going to be wonky in my experience. However, have you considered that all this behavior might stem from jealousy? Or over something that happened when you were young that she never got over? Also, don't let her get you down. you should celebrate your awesome marks and your amazing progress…

I don't know if trying to burn that much a day is a good idea. Exercise is good, but too much can hurt you. If I were in your shoes, I would exercise (in moderation) as well as re-evaluate how I'm eating.

Check out the DJ Earworm mixes. They are amazing!

I really feel that BMI is not the best indicator of someone's health. I don't think that it takes into account the curves a woman has. Two women of the same height, but with different builds (one more boyish vs the other very curvy) will have one women potentially being called overweight while the other is "ideal." It's…

If you're able to snack, pack small snacks for between classes. It's better to eat something small to keep yourself going than over-eat later on because you were so hungry. Also, fiber and protein are good things to eat because they keep you fuller longer.

In Canada, they are legally allowed to be 20% off on their nutritional information.

Here's a video of how to hide them: http://www.dailyglow.com/makeup/how-to-hide-the-dark-circles-under-your-eyes?xid=nl_TodaysHighlightFromDailyGlow_20111118 I found it rather useful. It doesn't get to the root of the problem, but helps hide it for the time being.

Where are you going to school? Canada or US?

I graduated in 2007 and was about 185. I'm currently between 145-150. So, it's a good thing!
