  • The calorie counter on my HRM is wildly inaccurate, but I use it to check my heart rate on cardio days. But it's been way off with that too, mind you the one I have is crap quality. (Saving for a new one) I don't worry too much about how much it's says I've burned because I don't eat my calories back. I just log a random…
  • You're doing awesome!! It's all about pushing yourself to see what you're capable of. Just wait until you get to the end - trust me, you'll be SHOCKED when you see how many reps and how much more you can lift compared to now. I finished W3D3 today too. I'm a little sad that this workout is done until month 3...…
  • W3D2, Cardio X done! It's amazing how much you can sweat in 43 minutes. I bought a pair of 1 lb walking weights on the weekend to bring it up a notch for Kenpo, and tried them out today with the Kenpo bit... WOWZERS!!! What a difference that made!! I had to pay extra attention to my form, plus it also forced me to tighten…
  • W3D1, Core Syn done for today. Feeling the burn all over... I LOVE IT  Congrats to everyone on their weight losses this week!! You're all doing awesome!!
  • The reason I asked is, if you're feeling weak during your workouts and it's hard to get through them, and you're following the plan for Phase 1, you could be "bonking" due to lack of carbs. It's the first thing that popped into my head when I read your post. If it happens for a few days in a row and you find you're…
  • Are you following their nutrition plan?
  • That's what I do too! It totally helps. I did Kenpo today also. My legs are still feeling it from yesterday, so the kicks weren't very pretty, but I got through it. 2 weeks down, 11 to go, yippee!!!
  • Fascinating read and very articulate. This is easily one of the best posts I've read on these forums. Thank you for taking the time to write it!
  • Legs & Back/ARX done for today! My legs feel like rubber and I'm totally soaked. I still don't like this workout and probably never will, but I suck it up and do it anyway because Tony said so. Yay, someone else who likes Yoga!! I think you and I are the only ones in this bunch who do, haha!
  • It's likely water weight. I'm by no means an expert, but from what I understand, your muscles will retain water as they repair themselves. It's pretty difficult (almost impossible?) for a woman to build that much muscle in a couple of weeks. Don't be discouraged!! Keep pushing play!!
  • Shoulders & Arms/ARX done for today! I LOOOOVE the upper body workouts. Still not quite able to do as many reps with the amount of weight I was using at the end of last round, but I'm getting there. They're still the hardest type of exercise for me, therefore I hate doing them, haha! I use a pullup bar and put one…
  • Cardio X done for today! It went by super fast, thank goodness  Call me crazy, but I'd still rather do 60 minutes of Plyo than 43 minutes of Cardio! Excited for tomorrow, Shoulders & Arms/ARX - one of my faves!!
  • Core Syn done!! I love this workout, mostly because it challenges me the most. Sphinx and Walking Pushups, Bow to Boat, Plank to Chatarunga Run... the list goes on! Feeling the burn and drenched in sweat = AWESOME  Start tomorrow and join us! All of our start dates are about 10ish days apart anyway.
  • You could substitute Plyo for Kenpo if you want a more intense cardio workout. I think I might actually do that myself on Cardio X days starting next month... I don't know what it is but I really dislike that video! IMO The only good thing about it is that it's only 43 minutes long!
  • Yeah, I use the portion approach too and measure everything, I'm slightly anal retentive about it, haha! Except for weighing proteins, I eyeball it as best I can since my scale broke and haven't bothered yet to get a new one... so I kinda know how big a portion is. It's hard to follow the diet exactly, and I'm modifying a…
  • Your calorie burn likely won't be as high doing Cardio X, but if you have a knee issue than I'd definitely vote to swap out Plyo with it. It's still a great cardio workout, just not as high impact or as long. Better to play it "safe" than risk injury to yourself!
  • X Stretch for me today. It was absolutely heavenly!! I am one seriously hurtin' unit after this week, haha! Also, I'm wondering who is following the nutrition plan... last time I did Phase 2 of the diet for the first two months, and this time I'm trying Fat Shredder. It's only been one week, but holy moly, I am so sick of…
  • Sorry, I thought I did! :embarassed: I'm doing Lean. Kenpo today! I'm also going to opt-out of weighing in today... I step on the scale every two weeks, for a number of reasons - mainly because I've reached my ideal weight and am in the challenge to increase my fitness level. If anything, by Day 90 the scale will probably…
  • Wow, you're Superwoman!! My legs are so dead after today, I can hardly climb the stairs! Way to go!! :flowerforyou:
  • Holy crap, yoga last night was UGGGGGLY!! I figured it would be after being sick over Christmas and only getting in a workout twice in the last three weeks before starting this round, but man oh man! I was dying by Warrior Two! I'm shocked by how much my endurance went down the toilet... the balance postures…
  • Thumbs up on the heavier weight. Like Tony says, whether you go for 8-10 or 12-15 reps per exercise, you should be struggling on the last 3 reps. That's when the magic happens. Don't be afraid of a heavier weight! I use 10-15 lb for shoulders and biceps and 8s for triceps, and my arms are nowhere close to bulky.…
  • Alright, I've finally got my act together! Here are my stats. Starting Weight: 123.4 lbs waist: 26.5 hips: 33 chest: 33.75 right arm: 10.25 left arm: 10.5 right thigh: 20.5 left thigh: 20.25 Should we post fit test results too?
  • Well, I got off to roaring start this round... I've been beat over the head with the migraine from hell today and I'm FINALLY feeling some relief now at quarter to ten. Sigh. I'm too weary to workout tonight. So to make up for it, I think I'll do Cardio X as planned for Day 2 and just tack on Core Syn from today at the…
  • Hi everyone! I'm starting my second round today!! The first time I did the Classic version, this time I'm doing Lean, just to switch it up... plus I'm a Core Syn lover so I get to do that workout more often, haha. I'll post my measurements later today, I should've done it last night but was too lazy. Happy Monday,…
  • I'm starting my second round tomorrow too!! I'm so excited to get going again after two weeks of being sick (over Christmas and everything, BLAH) and now I feel like a lazy blob... plus I miss Tony like, way too much. I'll totally join you!
  • That happened to me too not long ago... I remember getting as high as 105 and then it reset and I know I didn't miss a day. I have no idea why it happened either... I was upset initially, but in the grand scheme of things, does it really matter? For some I can see it being a motivational tool, but I personally don't need a…
  • Fully awesome transformation!! Congratulations!! I've got two weeks left before I finish my first round of P90X, then I can join you among the ranks of the graduates! You're looking mighty fine, sir.
  • Don't give up! Keep practicing. Six months ago I'd never worked out a day in my life and couldn't do a pushup, my max was 7 on my knees the day I started. Just this week I did 212 "real" ones in a single workout, plus I did my first unassisted pullup! You can do it!!
  • I second this. The exercises I hate are the ones I find boring. I also loathe single leg wall squats. Uggggg
