  • I love my BMF! I just got it a lil over a month ago. I only take it off to charge it, and that's usually when i'm in the Shower. I don't use it to keep track of my sleep though. I use my FitBit for that. The BFM seems to be WAY off because i have a 'weird' sleep pattern. I rarely go to bed at the same time, because i work…
  • I work from 10p - 6a so almost the same shift as you. Generally i go to the gym after i get out of work. I'll be there from say 630-830 or so, unless i'm taking a class. I get to sleep around 11/12 and then wake up between 830p - 9p. But i only live 3 miles from work, so the commute doesn't take long at all. The only part…
  • The only way i can think of to do this is if you changed the time zone in your settings. I work the night shift, and exercise when i get off work. So all my exercise calories go on the next day also. I just deal with it though. Everyone tells me it doesn't matter when you work out. As far as the pairing issue...mine does…
  • crock pot! I use it to make my dinner for the week since i work the 3rd shift :D
  • I second this! lol
  • Keep meaning to post so i can link to other people easier! Great advice!
  • I actually stopped using it for a little bit. The program that is. I was actually able to complete a whole mile running at a 4.0 pace on Monday. I had to stop because it was ZUMBA time! Yesterday i decided to give it another go and see how long i could run. I ended up running for almost 2 miles!!! Did a 2 min warm up, and…
  • My fiance uses it when he showers...it clogs up the tub nicely! haha It also makes a great lubricant ;) We do use it for cooking a lot. I've never fried with it, but instead of adding vegetable oil i will use coconut in things like cakes.
  • Dark Chocolate. Use to HATE IT!
  • When i was a kid this is what there was to eat ANYTIME i said i was hungry lol Mom always told us there was chicken in the oven or fridge, and rice in the rice cooker. I hated both until a few years ago! lol
  • I do if there are calories listed on the bottle. The supplements i take every day add up to 66 calories. So i made them into a recipe and add it everyday under snacks
  • I just joined a gym last month. I haven't run into wait times yet. I'm hoping because i go around 630a that i won't run into that problem!!
  • I've been doing this every day for the past um....5 yrs. But that's cuz i work the night shift. So i eat Dinner along w/ the rest of the family when i wake up lol Has 0 effect on if i lose weight or not. In the end, it's still calories in vs out. Doesn't matter what time of day you eat them!
  • I'm AB....and the diet takes away WAY too many of the foods i like!! I think i eat about 75% of this list every week! haha Food not allowed Beef, Chicken, Cornish Hens, Duck, Goose, Pork, Partridge, Veal, Venison, Quail, All Shellfish (crab, shrimp, lobster, mussels, oysters, crayfish, clam, etc), Anchovy, Barracuda,…
  • Took a week off cuz my trainer had me work on my core...and it hurt do do something as simple as cough! lol Did W4D1 yesterday!! Still getting the cramp/pain in my left side about 2min left in the last run :( But i push thru it and finish the run! I didn't read the summary first...and was surprised by 2 5min runs lol
  • It was boneless thighs. I put the chicken into the recipe as 40 oz, then added the balsamic vinegar & spices. It turned out that it made 28 oz of cooked chicken. But instead of putting it made 10 4oz servings. I put that it made 7 4 oz servings. Should i have made each serving 2.8 oz of chicken? I didn't "drink" or eat the…
  • The couple days it added thousands of calories were from when i had my settings at sedentary i believe. Or it could've been the couple days i took my kids to Skyzone (indoor trampoline) and wore an HRM the time i was jumping with them. I put those calories into the FitBit site.
  • I've had it do that with floors climed before. But never steps. I'd ask customer service. But it might be something that will correct itself.
  • The bodymedia isn't a HRM, but it does really good for estimating daily calories. It's something you wear 24/7 except when you plug it in to charge or upload data.
  • My fiance said that if they have to advertise that "It Works" in the brand....it probably doesn't work lol That being said, my friend held a "party" for them and i went to try....I actually gained inches. The lady told me it was because i hadn't drank half my weight in water.
  • i fixed my recipe's so they say how much 1 serving is. Well, at least the last couple, since i can't remember how much for the past recipe's. I make almost all of my meals while i sleep. So tasting the food as it cooks isn't something i do. What should my macro's be set at? Most of my carbs come from fruits & vegetables.…
  • I made the sweet potato mash into a recipe. I then weighed it, and put that it made 50 servings... 1 serving = 1 oz. Then just put how many oz i had as a serving. So say it weighed 8 oz...i put 8 servings. That was the best way i could think of to measure it all out. I've been wearing the FitBit 24/7 for over a year now. I…
  • I do use a scale. If it say 15g for a serving, i measure out 15g and then put 1 serving into MFP. Unfortunatly, MFP doesn't have scale weight as an option when entering food like LoseIt had.
  • I don't add any exercise myself. I let the FitBit add whatever difference there is. I just linked my bodymedia the other day, so it hasn't added anything yet. Not sure if i have to unlink my FitBit first or not.
  • I can assure you it has nothing to do with denial. Everything i eat, i log. I'm not moaning or wining about it, just wanted to see what someone on the outside thought w/ my diary and what not. Thought maybe because this is a new workout, and i'm doing strength training that perhaps it could be my body holding onto the…
  • I lost .5" in my hip 1" in my thigh 1"in my arm, and 1.5" in my chest. No change to my waist :( I had it set to Lightly Active. Just upped it to the next setting above that, because that's what the BodyMedia has me at with walking at least 10k steps. So 1,730 cal/day w/o exercise
  • https://www.google.com/search?q=plant-based+protein+powders&oq=plant-based+protein+powders&aqs=chrome..69i57&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8 I use Whey Isolate, so i can't give you much info on the plant based stuff. But Soy is a plant...so maybe soy protein? Garden of Life Raw ($29 from Amazon for 28 servings)…
  • I believe Chobani is the only real greek yoghurt sold in "normal" stores
  • I'm not sure what the exercise is called my trainer had me do. Basically it was laying flat on my back w/ the ball between my legs and my arms streatched over my head. I had to lift my legs and arms to grab the ball with my hands...then lift them back up again to grab the ball with my legs. She had me do this in 3 reps of…
