I just got a fitbit charge on the 1st and have been away from logging for several months. I've gained a couple pounds, but mostly have been able to maintain. I want to get back in the habit of going to the gym again and eating healthy. I'm still learning how to sync the calories/steps from the fitbit to mfp - it's quite…

Hi everyone! I'm new to the group and need some type of motivation to get me back on track. I was doing so well up until I had my weight loss surgery. Now I have no motivation to get back to the gym. I also started a new job, so my schedule has changed. I'm hoping reading your posts & seeing your success will get me going…

I was also having the same issue. Your BM definitely play a significant role. After my first one (finally), I lost 5 lbs. I am now at a stand still and fluctuate between 1 and 2 lbs, but never seem to lose. I got my sleeve on 11/4 and since surgery, I have lost a total of 17 lbs. I definitely need to get back to the gym…

I had mine on 11/4/13 and I'm having the same issue. When I eat, it feels like it just sits there. I'm concerned about protein shakes due to the calories and carb content, so I try to get my protein from chicken :/

Hi Skaboy215, I just got my sleeve on 11/4 and found that sleeping in the hospital bed was worse than sleeping in my bed. I LOVE my bed so I just got a few extra pillows and slept kinda propped up. It's been a week and 2 days since my surgery and I'm finally sleeping regularly through the night with little to no pain. Good…

I just had my surgery on November 4th. I looked online to find recipes for shakes. I make a butterfinger shake thats to die for! I also make a strawberry milkshake. The butterfinger recipe is: 1 scoop french vanilla flavored protein, 1 tbspoon creamy peanut butter (I use fifter50), 1/2 banana, 1 teaspoon sugar free…

I was going through the same thing. I was told to eat all my carbs before 4pm and make sure I have plenty of protein, lots of vegetables and lots of water. I try not to eat chips anymore, gave up soda for the most part, and when I feel hungry, I reach for a high protein snack. It's starting to work for me. Hope that helps.

You (or anyone) can add me as well. I like to give and receive motivation. I'm on every day :)

So far there is only 1 recipe that I know and like lol I am going to have to switch it up eventually, before I get tired of this one that I'm making. I use beets, spinach, kale, orange, apple, celery, carrots, a lemon wedge, and a small piece of ginger. I forgot to add the ginger to the calories, but I'm sure it's not much…

Thanks all. I had been using MFP as an app on my phone and didnt realize there was more to it on an actual computer :) I found everything I needed and made my recipe! Yay!

Lets talk about lazy....I can sleep ALL day and want to take a nap right when I wake up :/ My husband doesn't make things easier for me either cos he can sleep just as much. I was told a while back that I am pre-diabetic. Recently, I was told I have type 2 diabetes. My pharmacist said if the pills I'm taking don't work, I…

fpelletier: You and I have the same goal weight! I also need to lose 150 to reach 180. How have you been doing it?! I've been going to the gym for 3 weeks and logging my food here, but I see NO results and it's SO discouraging! Send me an add if you like :)

Thanks for the tips! I will definitely try getting free samples...I didnt even think of that!

Hi everyone! I'm not near Sacramento, but I live in California if that means anything? hahaha I just recently started using this app (again) not too long ago. I didn't realize how cool it is and all it entailed! I just used it to log my food and wasn't really seeing any benefits out of it, but now that I've been going to…

Hi, my name is Yolanda and I've had several appointments to get me started towards WLS. I have a couple friends who have had the surgery, one chose the bypass and didn't lose too much - she openly admits its probably because of her eating habits and lack of exercise. I have another friend who chose the lapband and was not…
