I went to see a dietitian before, and she said it's essential to have a balance of protein and carbs in each meal. The protein helps to slow down the breakdown of the sugars in the carbs and keeps you feeling full and energetic longer. It really does work! And if you have some water with it you'll stay full even longer!

My trainer told me that she finds most people say they don't have much energy the first few weeks into a training program. It could be that or it could be what you're eating. Are you getting enough carbs and protein? Tweaking you're diet may be just what you need!

Easy? Not at all! I'm finding it takes so much planning and effort. What to have for all my lunches, snacks and dinners, struggling to drink enough water, and getting to the gym early in the morning before the crazy crowds arrive..It seems never ending. At least I feel better although the scale isn't budging lol.

Isn't it fun? I went for the first time this week with a friend who goes all the time. I have zero coordination and I huffed and puffed my way through the whole thing but it was so much fun! And I can't get over how much energy I had afterward!

Koosdel is right, get some strength training in there! You can do all the cardio you want, but you're not going to build any muscles, which you need to fight fat!

If you are drinking something store bought.. yah not good at all. Like everyone else was saying, put something together from scratch! That way you know exactly what's going into it and you can get the nutrition you need out of it. Definately don't skip breakfast though! It's the most important meal of the day!

Today I'm walking to and from work. It's a little over 4km each way and the ice and snow is going to make it a nice challenge lol. It feels good to get out and moving though.

I have a lovely pocket of fat on my right hip that doesnt' exist of my left side. Any weight I gain seems to go there first :( But! On the bright side I always notice when I loosing weight because my lumpy fat hip evens out first!

YES. It's extremely difficult for to me to loose any weight. I don't know if there's something medically wrong with me or what, but I never seem to make much progress, and then I loose all motivation and quit. MFP has helped me to stay on track and stay motivated better than every before. Try reading people's success…

It wouldn't really be a healthy way of loosing weight as you should only do 1-2 lbs a wk, and like someone said it does tend to creep back on (speaking from experience here...sigh).

My calorie goal is also 1200 a day, and like someone was saying whether or not you're satisfied really does depend on the foods you're eating.
