  • Yeah, I think it's all the jumping and side lunges.. I think it will be great once I'm in better shape. Don't stop and I agree if it takes you a month to do each week it doesn't matter because you're still doing it! We WILL be runners one day SOON!
  • Age is just a number! You got this.. It's hard starting out but once you get going it feels so good. :)
  • I'm sorry to hear that your knees are giving you trouble but it's important to be careful like you said. Funny.. I recently had to stop doing 30DS because my knees hurt so bad. For whatever reason the running isn't hurting them. Keep it up! You will get there. It doesn't matter how long it takes us.
  • Hey Everyone!! Just checking in to see how weeks 1-4 are going. I'm on week 2, day 2 and so far so good. Day 1 of each week is going to be the hardest for me. That extra time added to the clock takes a while to get used to.
  • My son is 10 weeks old and I've been taking him for walks for over a month now and just this week started running too. He loves it and I never thought of it as a bad thing. I think it's fine! :)
  • Thats great! I'm on day 2 too. :)
  • haha.. Thats too funny! You are alreadt doing awesome with 3 miles a day! Keep it up. :)
  • I'm so excited to have a group of people to help support each other through our C25K Journey!
  • That's so great that your hubby runs with you and you have already completed your first race! I can't wait to do mine. I have my sights on one in February but hopefully I'll find another one to do before then. I ran outside yesterday and although it was nice to be out the hills made it harder.. BUT that's real life right?
  • Awesome! I added you all and I hope we can all push eachother through this. Day 1 kicked my *kitten* but that just means it's going to work to get my *kitten* in shape! : )
  • Anyone else not losing weight? I'm on day 6 and getting discouraged.
  • Congrats! I know what it's like to see that number and want to cry.. I got up to 220 the day of delivery for my son and am now 193 so passing that dreaded 200 is such an awesome victory! How old is your daughter? My son is 8 weeks old.
  • I'm definitely in! Current weight has been back and forth from 193-195 and I'd love to be 175 or less by Christmas! I look forward to tracking our weight losses together!
  • [/quote] i dont know what is recommended in regards the rest days. this group was founded around five days a week and two rest days for motivation and realistic goals. Alot of us have tried the 30 Days Shred and felt like we failed if we took a day off. The alloted two days is keeping this group, steady, rested, healthy,…

  • Is it recommended to have a rest day? I'm not asking to make if sound like a bad thing. I just didn't know if that was a part of her program.

  • Thanks girls! I'm pretty sure I stepped/jumped funny while doing the jump rope motion. I'm also pretty positive I'm doing the moves right because I've recently worked out with a trainer with these same type of moves before I was pregnant. I also had my hubby watch my moves to make sure I wasn't too far over on everything.…
  • I'm 7 weeks postpartum and started walking around 3-4 weeks and then after being cleared I started Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I'm just now on day 3 so no major success yet, but I feel like completeing each day is a success. I gained 35lbs, lost 25 without lifting a finger really and have been stuck since.. I finally…
  • Ami525- I'm surprised that I'm not too sore. I can definately feel it in my abs but everything else feels ok. I'm looking forward to the challenge again today! :)
  • I finished day 1 today too.. I bet I'll be sore tomorrow! Love the support on this site!
  • Perfect! I went with the general one because it was slighting higher and I feel like I had a pretty great burn. I really need to find my heart rate monitor. Thanks!
  • Ok so by that calculation if I weigh 193 I would be burning 210 calories?
  • That's AWESOME! I'm about to start it up again after getting to that week and then finding out I was pregnant in December 2011. My son is now 6 weeks old and I'm cleared to run again. It will be a slow start but I can't wait to be able to say I can run for 20 minutes straight! CONGRATS! : )
  • Wow! I almost could of wrote this. Only I'm 5'3, 6 weeks post pregnancy and193lbs.. My first goal is to get to 175 by Christmas and then get down to at least 140 and/or a size 4! We can do it girls! Feel free to add me too. : )
  • Wow.. I was just about to write a post about this. My husband and I got into a fight about losing weight last night. A little background. I was around 145-150 when we got married and slowly gained more weight during the first 5 years of our marriage. Our 5th year anniversary was last October and that's when I decided to…
  • I feel the same way about being worried to heal. So far I've just done arms and waking.. I actually got a Bob stroller yesterday and it's going to make a huge difference in my work outs. I've decided to wait the week 1/2 for the abs. It's not too much longer in the long run.
  • That's great that you didn't gain much and actually followed the gestational diabetes plan. My sister had it when she was pregnant and didn't follow it at all. My doctor stressed taking it easy too and I didn't have a c-section. I also only had a minor first degree tear that seems to be healed. I bet you will bounce back…
  • Sounds like Yoga Meltdown might be a better fit to start with.
  • That's a good point about the gap in the abs. I don't feel one but I will ask my OB about that when I go in for my 6 week apt. I don't want to hurt myself or do something without being able to get results.
  • Oh wow! I didn't know that she had a beginner one or a yoga one. I may start with the beginner one now. There's a front and backside one. I better start with my front (belly) since I just had a baby. I know these stretch marks wont be going away anytime soon but I can at least get flat abs! Anyone want to start up with me…
  • Thank you all for the fast replies! Now I can't wait to start the program. I think I'll take your advice about the 30 day shred first. Thanks for the link!! I'm all about the free. :) Thats too funny about the jumping jacks! Now I want to get started before my 6 week check up. It's on Oct. 3rd so not too far away.
