  • Hahahahaa, a few of my male friends also gave me the "Horseback Riding shouldn't be in the Olympics because it isn't even a sport".. 10 minutes on my horse and they were sweating buckets and soon apologizing. Oh and seeing them waddle after they dismounted was incredibly satisfying ahahaa.
  • Apparently it takes 21 days to get into a habit. Whether its eating healthily, exercising or just making small changes to yourself it's all gonna take time. Bare that in mind and don't be disappointed if you don't see results in a few days. Honestly, when I first started I was EXACTLY like you. I started over many times,…
  • Look into the Polar range. Heard nothing but good reviews about them so went onto eBay found one from a persons shop (£10 less than the actual website with next day delivery) and I LOVE it. It's the Pink FT4 Polar HRM. Literally is my new best friend that goes EVERYWHERE with me.
  • There's a lot of facts and myths behind whether to or not. Providing I've eaten my daily allowance and I've got all my nutrients and vitamins I personally don't, I have it mentally set in my mind as undoing all my hard work. Everyone has different views on it, its your personal choice. Try eating them back for 2 weeks and…
  • Most Clubland CD's are excellent for working out! Have many remixes on there that are happy, fast and feel good music that keeps you going :D Just take a look on Amazon at the latest ones out.
  • For those that haven't got a pedometer try eBay, nice and cheap and works just as good as all the expensive looking ones!
  • I'd be more than happy to join you! My 19th birthday is in December so would be a lovely goal. Lost 7lb's in the last month so if I can do it then I am 100% sure that you can :D
  • APPARENTLY it takes 21 days to get into the habit of something. Whether its eating healthily, going to the gym or just making little changes. So 30 minutes to begin with is brilliant, when you feel ready gradually up the time by 10 minutes or so. Every little helps! Even thought you're only doing 30 minutes you're still…
  • I'm from the UK and I'm very active so would be more than happy to help keep you motivated if you can promise you'll do the same for me! :D
  • Love the sound of this! Weekly Goal: 3500 Mon: 122 (50minutes pilates) Tues: 590 (71minutes cycling + 10minutes dog walking) Wed: 998 (123minutes cycling + 8minutes horseback riding) Thur: calories burned (how they were burned) Fri: calories burned (how they were burned) Sat: calories burned (how they were burned) Sun:…
  • Height: 5'4 Weight: 130lb Age: 18 BMR: 1,355 Was recently only eating up to 1200 calories a day and was losing weight but was sometimes feeling a little hungry so gonna up my intake to 1330 and see if it makes a difference!
  • Hiya, I'm an 18 year old from Essex, UK who swapped a life of partying and drinking for the gym and eating healthily! Feel free to add me, I update regularly and I help motivate others :)
  • Because unlike many of my other friends that I had on my friends list you update a lot hun and post on my things!
  • Hey there! I am currently 133lb's standing at 5'4. Don't really have a goal, just wanted to lose a little weight, tone up and get healthy. Thanks to this website, so far so good! Lost 4lb's so far :D
  • 18 5'4 and 136lb. Started around 140 so guess we're in the same boat :) Added!
  • Maybe because you're enjoying what you're doing it doesn't feel so much like a work out. I can ride for hours and not feel like I've exercised till the next day aha.
  • Everytime I'm craving something I shouldn't I drink a large glass of water and count to 120. By the time I've done this I'm either too full up from the water or I would have managed to convince myself in those 120 seconds that I didn't really need it.
  • Create my own gym within my house so I wouldn't have to pay stupid membership prices!
  • ^ This I just sold a load of my old baggy clothes which no longer fit me on eBay and had made £40 which goes nicely towards getting some new smaller clothes! Out with the old, in with the new.
  • Depending on how much you're committed to make it work!
  • 18 from England, feel free to add me anyone (:

  • Stick with MFP and it's friendly community and you'll definitely get there! :)
  • I'm from Essex, UK.
  • As much as I hate it, out of stirrups work really does work my entire body!
  • I have a big glass of water, wait 2 minutes then ask myself again if I REALLY need that snack. 90% of the time the glass of water fills me up or the impulse to actually have that unnecessary chocolate bar is gone.
  • It used to be every day but I become way to hung up on it if I hadn't dropped a lb. Also sometimes your body changes daily due to the amount of waste/water/etc so it wasn't really a fair reading so I've changed it to once a week on the same day at the same time.
  • Just try to befriend them and give them a push in the right direction, talk about how well you've done by keeping up a healthy diet. I completely understand what you're saying about you not being a friend in real life, but sometimes even a stranger on the internet is better than nothing.
  • Depends how organised I am that day. Some days I'm really good and will sit the night before and log what I'm going to eat the next day as I find this stops me from randomly snacking when I don't know what to eat. Other times I log as I go along. Sometimes I'll look up what I'm about to eat and decide whether or not that's…
  • There have been a lot of CD's recently released in the UK especially for work outs/ runners so have a search on Amazon for them. Other than that I love working out to Clubland music. It's not something you would usually find on my iPod but it's a bouncy, feel good sort of music that keeps your mood up! :D
