Yes...someday I will do that, it may be only with a piece of pvc but it will happen. And here's one for you... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP6g3F7gPwU

I get that, but as a trainee, I'm here to tell you I am hell of lot stronger than you are used to seeing. Once I prove that, knocking out 12 lat pulls at about double the resistance you set for me, you need to start trusting in my ability. If you continue to steer me towards only machines, and at the most give me pink…

It's important to find a trainer that gives you what you want, not the routine(s) they like. I went through about 6 different trainers. Every time they would ask what my goals were. I would say "I want to do the Olympic lifts." (I am over 50, overweight, and female but that's what I *want*.) They would steer me toward…

Thanks everybody! Actually, I was lifting 243, warming up to >250 and I thought it was kind of heavy. Then we realized we'd added wrong and I'd just made it to 253. So, kind of anticlimatic, but I did it. Really tired today. Not sore, just tired. And craving serious protein. Is it lunchtime yet?

DC Rainmaker's blog has *great* reviews of all products. Here's a link to his fitness tracker reviews. He reviews every product and in excruciating depth...! http://www.dcrainmaker.com/product-reviews/activity-monitors

I will throw this out fwiw: I can't do HIIT without Sean O'Malley ("CardioCoach") coaching me. These mp3's are the best, and I've tried lots of others. CC 8 is my favorite.

Yes your gym mirror selfies! That makes sense. Our weight room is always packed, even during the day. Hope yours is too!

Dang that is one empty weight room! I want to order socks but I can't pick just one design. I want them all. If they only made Seattle Seahawks deadlifting sock that I could wear here in Niners territory...then I'd be able to make a decision. lol

Sorry for the silly question, but is this a group? If not, how can I leave? I can't find a "leave group" button like I can for other groups, so I suspect this is some other kind of thing. thanks

Grandmallie, I don't know, he sounds more like just H rather than DH. Take care.

Sort of sounds like a compression belt, sometimes they have you wear one after surgery (hernia, abdominal, back).

LOL, I have a ways to go to be really strong. My little BC keeps me going, I need to be strong and fast so that she has a agility partner she won't be embarrassed about! :) I also let my heros inspire me. I'm a pretty obessesed Seahawks fan (understatement!!). I *love* watching Earl Thomas (ET3), Sherman, and Wilson's…

Good day yesterday, worked out with the "Iron Maidens", the ladies-only Olympic lifting group at the gym for two hours of fun, chatter, HIIT, and of course lots of deadlifts. I brought my dog with me and she waited in the car, then after the workout we headed straight off to agility class for 90 minutes of play-work. She…

Next time, travel to Beverly Hills/Hollywood, where a size 2 is considered obese. Or, simply be happy with yourself as you are.

Sylvia, I admit I'm coming at this from a different perspective after a long lifetime in the business world, but here goes. It sounds to me like you need a business plan. A written one. When someone asks you for a favor (and taking on interns and perennial non-paying customers are definitely favors) you can go back to that…

"There are so many wonderful tools out there. But how does the person implement a tool in the moment when they don't want to implement the tool, when they want to eat? And that's where most people get tripped up, because they go into the moment of want, and they can't use the tools." Yup! This is what I am working on. :)

I've been watching the "wearable tech" market with lots of interest. I got a fitbit about three years ago. Lots of trouble with them for me: I get a skin reaction from the armband one, both the armband and clip one burn through battery or charge, and then I lose them. Great review here from CNet:…

Hi ladies, I wish it was wet and cold here! We are experiencing a major drought in California. Why you should care: you will probably eat fruit and veggies from California today. Pray for rain! I have a just barely two-year old Border Collie. Guess what I do? yup. When I retire I want to travel the country and do USDAA…

Hello everyone, I just found this board. I'm 56 and trying to lose 50 lbs. It is tough, especially so because I *love* to eat. I am not getting very far very fast. I decided not to worry about what I eat, as I eat fairly healthy. (I do like a glass of wine with a nice dinner! ) The rest of the month, I am just going to…

Since I am trying to become a runner, "Further" by Long-view. lol

Bandwagon fan since 1976. Can't wait for the season to start! My favorite player is, gosh. Kam Chancellor? Earl Thomas? hmm. I wish I could still go with MikeRob but I think he's done. Have you watched "The Robb Report" on YouTube? He is just such a good guy.

Me too! I'm one of those crazy agility girls.

The designer dogs are not in any way hypoallergenic...it is all pretty much hype. Dogs that do not shed seem like a great idea, but what most folks are allergenic to is dander, which is a fancy way of saying "dead skin cells". And all dogs have skin.

I eat more vegan every day. Putting myself on a six week challenge starting Saturday morning. I have all the food, but work's been crazy this week and I could not organize myself.
-
Hi everyone! I compete in agility, and to be a better teammate for my Border Collie, I would like to lose some weight. Also, to be healthier!

I do stair laps. I'm up to 30 floors a day.

Dialing a "1" before the area code. You don't have to with cell phones. My friend's teen lost his cell phone, and used the home phone. He got that error buzz for FOUR DAYS trying to call his friend in the next town/area code. He got frustrated and complained to his mom, who promptly told him he was being silly, dial a one.…

My mom always told me to keep a *dime* on me. I must be older than you! I used to call collect though, but that was back when it was easy to talk to a human operator!

My roommates and I (grad school!) used to watch "Star Blazers" every morning, and Rick Springfield on some soap every afternoon. Good times. I can honestly say I have never ever seen "Saved by the Bell" and I think my life is the better for it. :)

Wow, thanks everyone! I can't get to Pinterest from work but my Inspiration board is here: http://www.pinterest.com/teamkiki/inspirations Will follow you all when I get home!
