Fruit. I crave it move than any other sweets, good or bad.

I'm so happy for you! Congratulations for all that you have done and all you will gain from it!

Most of my weird quirks are with junk food, like sorting my skittles according to colors or eating the chocolate on the outside of candy bars first. I like to section things off. I eat mostly out of coffee mugs instead of bowls or plates because I like to mash all my warm foods together. I will also do this with Neapolitan…

Welcome to the fun! I lost my appetite initially, too, but it came back. There is a lot of good advice here if you need it.

NOT when they are in the beginning stages. They have to initially remove themselves from the situations to gain the skills to handle situations like that. Do you know lots of recovering alcoholics? Or are you just making broad, generalized assumptions because you like to pick senseless fights on the internet with people…

Thanks, guys! I am typing this with bacon fingers. :)

I wish people would stop cramming their ideas down people's throats. She said she isn't denying herself repeatedly, and surprisingly enough, some people DON'T want to eat McDonald's and pizza. As someone else that is trying to lose a large amount of weight, I do understand where you are coming from. People don't get that…

My biggest struggles are: Free food at work (It's free!) My skinny partner that can eat anything he wants in massive quantities and usually does it right in front of me. I also fluctuate between too many calories leftover and not enough calories on a daily basis.

Okay, for me this is a prime example of the silly, annoying stuff that bugs me about the site and probably is what the OP was referring to. How in the world is this beneficial to ANYONE except upsetting the poster? I guess some people find it funny, but I don't. I see someone that has too much time on their hands, and a…

The one thing I love about keto is that I never fluctuate- if I go down, it stays down. The only time the scale has jumped up it was due to alcohol. Bodies are weird, especially us girls. It must just be water weight, and like you said will go away soon.

You are doing so good! As defeated as you may feel, you are already FAR down the path you need to be to correct your health issues. Imagine if you give up now how mad you will be at yourself in a few years when you are in the same place or worse. You should be proud, and channel all your fear and anxiety into furthering…

I'm fairly new as only been doing this 2 months, but I knocked myself out last week and agree with the above. About 2 days after my cheat day I felt all the indicators I was back in ketosis, but the scale wasn't dumping the water weight I had gained. Today, about three days after indicators, I dumped a whole bunch of…

Lol! I like the way you think!

It's great you are getting on the right track young! I wish I would have had a resource like MFP when I was your age. Definitely take it slow. I know that you are eager to lose the weight, but if you take 2 years to lose the weight, you will still only be 16. And gorgeous! I know I always would try, get frustrated because…

Thanks for all the info! Very interesting and well written.

You look gorgeous! Congratulations!
-
Yay! There is nothing better than you AND your loved ones striving for better health. I'm very happy for you. :)

This looks freaking amazing!
-
Such a sweet story! Congratulations to both of you!
-
Thank you, ladies. I was just worried I was doing something wrong as this is something I've never struggled with before keto.
-
I figured. I guess I hadn't read about this being a problem for people so I thought it was really strange. The magnesium/potassium I was ready for!

Totally agree. I feel the same way, and I know most other people do too. My dad used to always say that ladies at the Air Force base gym that took working out serious were the overweight ones, and he felt a kinship to them as people dedicated to fitness. The skinny ladies with make up on chatting and taking up space...he…

When I asked a dietitian that is familiar with MFP if I should eat back my exercise calories, she scoffed and said it was the one feature she disliked about MFP because she strongly believed it was dumb to eat back calories. My doctor, on the other hand, said she followed the method of eating back her calories. So I think…

Congrats on finding something that works for you! I am just starting out on keto and am pretty excited. I am just the kind of gal that can't handle carbs. It's all I want and mostly in processed form. It is amazing what we put sugar in! So this diet is definitely for me. My partner, on the other hand, is a complete twig…

You just made me cry a little! I felt like I was reading my life story. So very happy for you, and I hope to be joining you soon!

My dad used to run the AF marathon all the time after he retired! He loved it. Congratulations! You look great.
-
Your eyes look so huge now! Very pretty, lady. Congratulations on your new life!

Good Lord, this diet is ancient! I remember my dad used it when he thought he needed to drop weight for a weigh in. He was pretty happy when he retired. I used this diet a few times thinking it would give me more discipline. I almost passed out on the elliptical, and I am even more overweight than ever. Quick fixes don't…

Don't psych yourself out! I know that as an extremely overweight person myself, I always thought people were thinking the worst about me when they saw me at the gym. That was mostly me projecting my insecurities. I've had a few people I thought were judging me ask if I need help or had questions. There will always be jerks…
