Shopping and the cleanup after. Otherwise I enjoy the actual cooking part. But it does take a certain degree of planning otherwise life gets busy and it's easy to just grab something quick. It did get easier over time once I developed some go-to meals the hubby and I liked.

31! :) 24lbs lost with 20lbs more to go
-
I just ate what I normally ate but made at home and smaller portions. Overtime I naturally made better and better choices. Have less cravings, etc. Slow lifestyle changes until they just became normal.
-
Exactly what I've been experiencing too

Tea

After eating so well you might be feeling low due to all the sugar, etc, that your body hasn't had in a while. Eat your normal routine again and you should hopefully start to feel better. Water too!

Does walking with my pup on the treadmill count??  He loves it and even stays on for the highest incline on our treadmill, which is really cute. Then I go outside and play fetch with him while I cool off (since he's in WAY better shape than I am, lol). We'll need to walk down to the mailbox this afternoon…

@Melolson14 - I do the Netflix/Music/Reading on my iPad too... but I also vary the speed & incline manually or use a preset throughout to keep switching it up, and when I'm at a walking pace I lift 5lbs weights. I also have mine setup near windows so I can look outside instead of watching the screen. Hope that helps!

Tea! :) I realize it's not something to munch on but it's helped me quite a bit with my cravings. If you find a good brand it's almost addicting, and most are zero calories. (David's Tea & Stash are good brands) :)

I've had a month-long plateau not too long ago. I had a lot of work to do though so it took some time for my body to catch up with me. I also do weights so I'm gaining a little muscle weight. You may need to switch things up a bit too, a different workout routine or seeing which foods work better for you etc. Everyone's…

Love it! Thanks for sharing your awesome achievement!!!

Yep. I drink a cup of chocolate milk after a workout because I've earned it, but it fits within my calorie goal. I don't really restrict or reward myself that much, I follow the 80/20 rule for the most part and just stay near my calorie goal. I think it just depends on what works for you personally.

Also check your activity level setting, might be too low now that you're working out. You might already be doing this, but you can synch your FitBit to MFP to help keep track of your activity.

I'm actually struggling a bit this week but I remind myself that I do not want to be in this position again next year and that not being active isn't worth the health issues or the emotional guilt. When the motivation dissipates I keep it casual that day...or week... and tell myself I can just walk and chill; usually I end…

^^ Agreed. Honestly, I just make my own pizza now. So much easier to manage the calories/macros. I usually make a bunch of pizza dough once a month maybe two, stash it in the freezer, and then just pull one out a few hours before pizza making time. Toppings are easy so it really doesn't take long before we eat and it's…

MFP has a lot of generic food choices, but yes... you can put in a specific brand or even scan the barcode on the package to get more precise food entries. MFP's food database doesn't have everything but they have one of the best databases I've ever used (especially for Canadian brands). For items I can't find the specific…

Here's some of the stuff I like to eat on any given day, all are super easy to adjust to your calorie & macro needs: Oatmeal / Green Smoothies / Scrambled Eggs or an Omelette using leftover veggies / Turkey on Rye Bread Sandwich / Tomato Soup / Grilled Cheese / Natural PB & Crackers / Greek Yogurt / Open-Face Tuna Sandwich…

I actually made the hubby and I breakfast this morning! We're not morning people at all... But hopefully we can work on that

Tea!!! I've never really been a big tea drinker until this year, but it's helped with my cravings and boredom eating a lot. It really helps if you find a brand you like though, I've tasted some that were terrible but have finally found ones that I love (David's Tea, Mighty Leaf, Stash). I usually get ones that have no…

Hubby and I have been warming up to the idea of starting a family soon, but we both agreed that we need to work on developing healthier habits (i.e. nutrition) and that we could both lose a few pounds before we start trying, so we give ourselves a strong start with less stress. I'm really nervous about the delivery aspect…

Depends what we're in the mood for, but my husband usually makes our favourite and we splurge on a nice steak, with potatoes and salad - or we've also done spaghetti with homemade sauce, garlic bread and salad. Oh and white wine :) :) Or we go out to eat the day before or after V-Day to avoid the rush.

Following this post because I am the same way!! I start off doing GREAT but then I allow myself a little break and then the next thing I know I am completely off track and back where I started. I can't seem to STAY focused. Actually that is a bit of a motto for me this year -- focus on yourself. Right now I am basically…
