  • We have a 9 Round here! But I'm moving, so I'll never get to try it. I've done a little bit of kickboxing in workout videos. Anybody know some good kickboxing videos? I'm on the lookout for new stuff to do!
  • Running or working out on a hard surface does that to me, too. It just takes a while for my body to adjust accordingly. Make sure you're getting enough rest, water, and protein. You won't be as sore once you go back and your body continues to adapt :)
  • My boyfriend knows not to question me. He knows that I carefully consider what I eat. My friends, however, don't have a clue. When they ask me why I'm not getting a 3am food truck sandwich with them, I just say "No thanks, I'm good"... because otherwise I'd sound judgemental.
  • You and me both, girl... I turned 24 and realized that I don't care that much anymore hahaha.
  • Are you talking about the Kayla Itsines workout? Bikini Body Guide? If so, I have heard multiple people on this forum saying that the diet plan has had them eating too much food. I don't know too much about the program, but I suggest you count calories if you're not already doing so. Take a more scientific approach, rather…
  • At 26, you're done growing. If anyone tells you that you can grow 2 inches in 2 months, they are lying to you! You could wear heels at your wedding, though!
  • You won't be able to know exactly how much you burned off from a workout. You can make an educated guess using a database that factors in your height and weight. Myfitnesspal has a database for you to choose from. Under the exercise tab, you can add a cardio exercise by searching for a specific kind of exercise you did,…
  • Oh, also... extremely dark chocolate... like 80% and above. :)
  • Can you eat coconut? Coconut butter, unsweetened creamed coconut, unsweetened coconut chips... just a thought. :)
  • I started an exercise program that combines strength and cardio. I'm almost 2.5 months in. Only ~2 weeks left. Haven't lost a ton of weight, only around ~10 lbs, but I can tell my body has undergone some recomposition. I have found that I thrive on having a routine. And giving up alcohol, for the most part.
  • Make your food diary public and tell us your height and weight? That way we can speculate a little better :)
  • Hefty amount of caffeine, lol. I'm aware that this isn't a health food, but it really does work for me. I'd rather be caffeine addicted than food "addicted". Kombucha and sparkling water, too. I can always turn to low calorie beverages when my next meal seems to far away. Veggies. Cucumber, tomato, bell peppers, avocado,…
  • I don't see a big problem like a lot of people here will. But I do recommend taking the lowest dose possible to begin with. Also the fact that you have "no motivation" out of the gate is a little concerning. I'm all for supervised supplementation, but weight loss is very much a mental discipline. I do think supplements can…
  • Yes... this is why I rarely bake anything anymore, even if it's a "health" inspired recipe. Because I cannot exercise portion control. And I always "taste test" during the process so the cals add up fast.
  • If you're down to plunk down $$$ for BPC-specific coffee, just buy something locally roasted instead. Chances are you have some good specialty coffee in your neck of the woods.
  • I closed my eyes... on the treadmill... and when I opened them, I was falling! But that's not it! My instincts kicked in JUUUUST before I hit the ground and I moved my legs as fast I could, against the momentum of myself falling and the speed of the treadmill, until I was upright again. I must have looked like a cartoon…
  • Also, might I suggest doing a big batch of bacon in the oven on some parchment paper? It keeps in the fridge just fine. And then, ya know, there's bacon. Also meat in the crockpot requires very little effort. I've never tried it but some people swear by their bulletproof coffee. That is a ton of fat all in one go. Or you…
  • I would advise you to ask on r/keto... the reddit subforum. If you really want keto advice, and not "stop trying to eat keto" advice, then you will have better luck there. I eat low carb, but not Keto (because it's not feasible for me), and I browse r/keto and r/ketorecipes for ideas a lot.
  • My mom's side has a history of heart problems, too! I hope to stay active throughout adulthood so I don't fall into that trap! I read a really inspirational article about this 96 year old man who has stayed active over the years and how it's kept him young. He was born in 1919 and he is a sprinter, lmao! Check this guy…
  • Just log in, come say hi, and lurk in the forums. :) You can keep your streak up just by logging in once on your mobile app, if you have one. Just log in on the morning of the day you have oral surgery, in case you're too loopy to remember afterward. I was a mess after mine, I barely remember anything from that day haha.
  • As long as you eat your fruit instead of drinking fruit juice, you are probably fine. You'd have to eat a TON of fruit to be blowing your calorie budget on fruit alone. That said, you still wanna keep an eye on the calories. Berries are a good choice, lower sugar and higher fiber content. Blackberries are great for this.…
  • Here's a few different options. I bet you could find these at a store near you :) http://amzn.com/B000UI55FM http://amzn.com/B00D42FGFU http://amzn.com/B00CWTZ430 http://amzn.com/B000ELQNRE
  • You cook look into Stevia drops, they come in a million flavors. Expensive for one bottle, but I bet it lasts longer than a bottle of creamer. And you could add your own milk or cream to taste. Personally, the Stevia aftertaste is too much for me, but some people swear by it.
  • Um. Or you could just order something from Starbucks without syrup or granulated sugar in it? If you only add a dash of milk/cream you are going to have fewer than 50 calories. Today I splurged and got a quad shot in a nonfat iced latte. Only 90 calories, 8g protein, and 13g carbs. I don't really like the taste of…
  • There are 2 kinds of people who downplay others' weight loss: 1) Insecure People, or 2) Brainwashed People Insecure people take your weight loss efforts personally on some level. Whether it makes them insecure about their weight, accomplishments, career, or whatever... they are either consciously or subconsciously letting…
  • Oooh, I have visitited DC Rainmaker before, but hadn't heard about the Scosche RHYTHM+. That is definitely a cool looking device. When I'm ready to plunk down the $$$ for a new device, I will consider that one! Thanks.
  • Polar makes a good HRM that syncs with a chest strap. I know there are others, as well. But yes, the HRMs on most 24/7 trackers are not meant to be medical devices. I'm pretty sure the ones with the wrist-based sensors are not as consistent.
  • It all depends on your height, weight, age, level of exertion, the moon's gravitational pull on earth, etc. Okay the last part was a joke... But I like using my own HRM to get a more personalized estimation. It's still an estimation, though! You really can't rely on ANY machine or computer program to give you a totally…
  • What are your height and weight stats? How much have you lost so far, and what are you aiming to lose? That will help us to help you a bit better. Overall, though, you can't pick where you lose body fat. Everyone stores fat differently, so as you lose weight the fat will come off relative to your own genetics. Once you…
  • My boyfriend has gotten turned away from the Plasma center countless times. He has a high resting heart rate to begin with and sometimes he gets nervous when they are taking his pulse, so his heart rate spikes too high. He has to sit in the waiting area and meditate every time we've been. My resting heart rate, when I've…
