I would recommend the digital but I do not think it matters all that much. As long as you weigh on the same scale the loss (hopefully) should be the same even if the actual weight is inaccurate...does that make sense?

Welcome! I try to fill it out as I go and then complete at night before I go to bed. It helps me not eat after I complete the entry. :)

I log what I do in the excercise calculator. Not sure how accurate it is but it incorporates it into your daily calorie count as well. I would recommend using that if you are not already.
