  • I would say yes since salt makes you retain water so by cutting it out, your body isn't as full of fluid. You probably lost water weight which is good too.

  • Yes, this is one of the reasons I bought a HRM. I do the Wii Fit at a more intense pace than average and the calories listed as a Wii Fit burn is very low compared to what I actually burn. Especially the free step and the free run. You'll never really know your true calorie burn if you don't invest in a HRM. I love mine!

  • My suggestion is getting a heart rate monitor. They look like wrist watches, not bulky and rather affordable. Great little tool for keeping track of calories burned during a period of time.

  • Quite possibly. I'm going to give it time. I just bought the thing on Saturday and I'm thinking I was just too ambitious .. hopefully. I understand that knee issues are common with these types of machines so here's hoping *fingers crossed* that after a few days of lighter or different workouts they will be fine again.

  • I love love love the Wii Fit. Once you catch onto the step classes, boxing and whatever else interests you I'm sure you'll love it as well. I stick with the Aerobics stuff and don't get into the yoga and strength training (but I probably should). Have fun!

  • I would invest in a heart rate monitor to keep track. Before I owned my HRM, my Wii workouts were only giving me a fraction of the calories that I was actually burning. Now I know for sure what's being burned and it is a great tool to have.
