i love the fitbit and i chose this over the heart rate monitor because it is so easy to wear the fitbit all day long (even tracks sleep patterns) and most people only wear the HRM during workouts. - i couldnt see myself wearing the chest strap very long, even though i know the HRM is slightly more accurate than the fitbit.…

bored eating it a big one for me. when i get a craving i drink a large glass of ice water (chug 16 + ounces) and if i am still hungry half hour after that then i allow myself a snack. i try to go to something low cal - lately it has been air popped popcorn with butter flavored cooking spray on it. ~~~~if you don't have an…

wow you are battling on all fronts. but it sounds like you got some fight in you to get through this. baby steps are going to be the key for you - doing one tiny thing more each day. even if it is just sitting up for a few minutes longer each day. some people really benefit from passive range of motion in which another…

good for you for taking the first steps to getting healthy. go slow and just gradually increase your activity and in a few weeks you will be amazed at what you can do. start off with low impact workouts. i have to ask: why were you bedridden for 15 years? if you would rather not answer i understand. good luck with your…

IT TAKES 4 WEEKS FOR YOU TO SEE YOUR BODY CHANGING IT TAKES 8 WEEKS FOR YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, AND IT TAKES 12 WEEKS FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD. KEEP GOING (***saying taken from a poster i saw on pinterest - cants seem to get it to copy to here***)

follow doctors suggestion to a T. -- even better consult a nutritionalist to follow you and your diet progress closely. you have to follow their plan 100% - no cheating. and it has to be done under supervision of a professional (dr or nutritionalist)
-
i would say go for the 5k - it will push you to get better and don't worry if you have to walk, or if you go slow. you will get better each time you do it. my first 5k was 43 minutes now i am at 32 minutes. 2.5 will not challenge you enough.

look at the calorie content of your drinks -- vodka with diet mixer is often fairly low about 100 - 150 calories per drink depending on brand and how the bartender pours. - fruity drinks are high in calories, avoid these. the biggest issue would be to avoid the bar food! continue to count your calories and get back on…

probably #1 you are not drinking enough water!! and #2 you should eat back some of your calories so that you have around a 1000 calorie deficit each day your body is not getting the fuel it needs - headaches are often an indication of dehydration and or lack of essential nutrients.

i didn't think there was much of a difference - down 6 # - but today i realized i moved up a hole on my belt (comfortably)

Wisconsin knows how to drink and have a good time. wisconsinites are often not even allowed to enter drinking contests in other states (such as during spring break) because they say we have an unfair advantage.

i have had a fitbit for the past year and i love it - i feel lost if i forget it. and it is great that is syncs with MFP. so i log all activities on fitbit and all food on MFP because the MFP food categorie is better.

good for you starting this journey to better yourself. i know mindless/bored eating very well. i have learned to make sure you are getting lots of protien throughout the day, then when a craving strickes drink a bunch of water and wait it out. also if there is a day that you go over your calories - don't stress over it,…

i agree - my social life, family and friends, is what makes me who i am -- and i would never be willing to give that up. whats the fun in being skinnny if you are not out showing it off, enjoying life. i have hid from parts of the world because i am self concious of my weight... i don't want to hide anymore. i am trying to…

i am in the same boat as you -- lost 35 last year fell off the wagon in september gained 10 back over the holidays now restarting for good. add me if you want

if you don't plan on cutting carb for the rest of your life then you shouldn't do it for a diet, you will just gain the weight back. learn to eat the correct portions of the foods you already enjoy. - less calorie intake and more calories burned equals the best 'diet'

i have celtic looking shamrock (one continuous line knotted together) that i drew one day and spent weeks perfecting and coloring. 1. it was my original design 2. i fell in love with it 3. shamrock are sometimes a symbol for father, son, holy ghost.

either way - whatever is easiest for you to keep track of. i usually put it on the day before because i like to start out fresh when i wake up.

I am an RN working 12 hour nights -- i have learned to always have some healthy - filling foods in the break room. i always have oatmeal available, and usually salad makings with me. so when i am tired and considering grazing on anything that is laying around i go for oatmeal instead and it keeps me filled. the hardest…

vodka, not bar rail brand, but good quality vodka is around 70 -90 calories per ounce then do a low cal mixer. i am a vodka diet mountain dew or diet coke drinker myself. like others have said - try to avoid the late night greasy food fest. - choose pretzels instead. but in the end it comes down to: ***** don't stress…

you work on the knitting and i will work on the bottle of wine --- it is all about teamwork
pinch ur arms.
not working - i am about ready to get the toothpicks out to hold eyelids up like tom and jerry used to do. but the knitting and drinking wine sounds like a good idea - minus the knitting --- my scarfs always turn out to look more like a birds nest
