I usually workout in the AM without eating. i drink a bottle of water in the am and on the way to the gym. After the gym..I've noticed I'm not hungry immediately following so I have time to prepare my meals...Try a light breakfast 1st such as a cereal bar, boiled eggs, or fruit.

I also had knee pain with the side lunges...I had to do modifications to the exercise in order to complete the circuitttt

I really feel bad for the lady this happened too...however..in all fairness..if she is taking up another seat..she should pay for it

as long as you are under your calories..then go for it! My hubby drank one pepsi or mountain dew a day for 6 months and still lost 67 lbs in 8 months

Agreed...there's many variables in this story that resulted in the "fail"...not the atkins diet alone....It's not for everyone this is for sure...the individual has to make the right decisions that will help him/her reach the goal

The topic is Starvation mode...Not nutritional deficits or disorders...So do you believe a physician has enough training/education to evaluate this??

Diet is not a speciality...all medical professionals who hold a license (Nurses, Physician Assistants & Physicians) receive the basic foundations of nutrition....ENOUGH to evaluate a diet and advise a patient if the diet will effect their health...that is all.

It's "Dietitian"...and this statement --->Dietitions are educated and regulated.????? So are you saying Doctors are not well versed in nutrition?? and forget the educated and regulated part!! There's NO other profession that is regulated and educated more than a physician...wow

I just think if ANYONE is extremely concerned about their bodies entering "starvation mode" from a particular caloric intake..You should consult your doctor or nutritionist. I'm not sure if this (MFP) is the best resource..I'm just saying..
