Hey there! I can't really describe how it feels other than a "pull".I can feel the muscle stretching when I release the weight..it was quite uncomfortable but not painful. VERY HELPFUL tips my friend on doing the circuits..I had no clue only to work the muscle groups once a week! :noway:

Thank you sir! :) I do see the guys @ the gym using the machines more so for the leg exercise and doing upper body in the weight area with free weights....I wanted to ask someone there but i was being shy!

I tried lifting 10 lbs at the gym doing "arm curls" and felt my muscles "pulling". I was a little scared that I would hurt myself so I reduced the weight to 8lbs...is that normal??

My goals are to tone and build lean muscle. The machines are easier but I only have 2 weight sizes I have at home are 5 and 8 lbs. On the machines I use up to 30-40 lbs of weight depending on the circuit and I'm comfortable with that.

#1 tip..don't give up and don't try to lose it fast. Theres no secret to weight loss....you just need to burn more than you take in. Find a diet and exercise plan that is right for you..you may benefit from a personal trainer..bottom line..stay in the game!

Sounds like the guy that approached you is a "Hater". I would not left because he told me too...he doesnt own the gym nor is he the manager ..right? You should have asked to speak with the manager on duty immediately and escalated up if necessary.

I usually aim for 300-500 depending on the workout. This is per what the machine tells me...I really need to pick up a HRM soon!

I'm in the 190s i really want to get to 140-150...ive been 40 lbs overweight for most of my 20's..its not easy getting this weight off now that I'm older..so I must make it happen this time around!!

Question..so when you are restricting carbs...should you watch calories too or no? With Atkins...they advise not to count the calories

I use vanille protein power, almond milk, a tsp of sweetner, and fruit of choice. usually keeps me full until my next meal!
