When I was doing atkins...during my workouts I noticed my endurance was pretty low. My trainer told me to drink a protein shake with carbs before the workout and after..it did not effect my Ketosis state.

I'm burning between 300-600 according to HRM. Taebo will give you a higher reading

How about early early am or late evening outdoors...you can do the same thing indoors..just stay under the fan!

I learned how to jog/run on my own. I tried this program but it didnt work for me. I found that running continuously for 8 mins was better for me than intermittent sprints.

When i feel like quitting...or i can't do a particular exercise...i just keep moving..i dont push myself to the point of hurting my knee or ankle..but i do keep moving and doing something! take the breaks you are due..you will be fine :)

Day 2 in the books! Burned 305 calories per HRM. The circuit was intense but not overwhelming!

I've been here since 3pm..so thats around 6 hours. I know of the BMR but I'm new to this HRM thing and just want to know if its giving me the right data. I am also wearing a chest strap

Try Leslie Sanson walking dvds, or you can do just about any aerobic exercise just don't go so deep into the moves

I think the only problem r/t running while overweight is the effects on your weight bearing joints. This too depends on HOW overweight you are, for example 10 lbs overweight may or may not affect your abilities

I just completed the Fit test today and my HRM told me 170 calories for 20 mins..i am 32, for your age and duration, I believe this is correct

The HRM will be more accurate! The machines give an extremely higher number.

My husband thinks I'm an addict too...I work out about 5-7 days a week..sometimes twice a day! My son has a personal trainer @ the gym as well--helping him train for the upcoming football season. I usually go walking or cycling in the early am then hit the gym afterwards for a hour or so. I'm starting Insanity on Monday…

I think you answered the question already. You do need a HRM with calorie counting function. I am starting Insanity also on Monday with the group...you should Join! I purchased a New Balance HRM from Target @ $70....it comes with the chest strap and counts calories! Good luck
