I experienced the same thing when I first joined...I got with a trainer who showed me how to use the machines..You don't need to hire one to receive instructions on how to use the equipment..it comes witht he membership For arms..there are soo many machines...depends on your goals.

When I have cravings or "mental hunger: ...I drink a bottle of water 1st..if I'm still hungry I will have a light snack (Jello, salad, or popcorn). If that doesnt work...i chew gum

My friends laugh @ me when I take the bun off the burger and just eat the toppings. I think its a knowledge deficit that makes them respond the way they do. Don't worry about it..do what works for you..thats all that matters!

Thank you guys! I purchased a Trek 7000 . I was fitted for the bike and test rode the display and loved it! My bike should be ready by the weekend! I hope the weather is good to me. Is 40 bucks too much for padded shorts?

Agree with ^^^^....whats SOOO unhealthy about reducing simple carbs/sugar intake and increasing protein and fiber? All the experts..do tell... The OP said "low carb 50 and under w/ High protein" not NO CARBS

I experienced the same thing the 1st week I was low carbing. I'm finishing up week 2 and feel great! I treat myself to Sugar Free snacks such as jello and candies--this helps me thru the withdrawl period! Stick with it...you will do fine.

I used to feel that way...but when I signed up this time for a gym...I was ready and focused..I wouldn't care if there was donkey and sheep on the treadmill or eliptical..As long as they are minding their own business!! I will pick up another helmet too! I'm super excited about tomorrow! The weather here in Chicago will be upper 70's with some showers...I have a 26 mile bike path behind my condo which leads to the lake. I walk the path often..can't wait to take that ride!

Agreed...I tried the C25K training program and it killed my knee in little over a week! I concluded running isn't for me but I remembered my passion for cycling. I havent done this since college but I'm willing to embrace it again. I have a helmet from long time ago..I would never ride without it!

@ Leester..that makes me feel better..When I exercise I have knee pain..I just dont want it to get worst while I'm miles away from home. I'm thinking of using the stationery bike @ the gym for a week before riding again.
