Great job.... hard to believe it's the same person!!

Buying beef bones that would be suitable for making stock/broth is becoming very difficult these days, most super markets no longer carry them. A true butcher shop is likely a good source, but there are very few of these left anymore.

Clam chowder or oyster stew.... made with fresh, not canned, shellfish 😁

I agree, de-boning is very easy and they are 1/2 the price per pound of the boneless skinless. The skin and bone also make excellent additions to the stock pot.

Thanks for this link, that's a great site😎

I'm in the same boat...In fact I no longer even have any in my house 🤐

Yes it's a pressure cooker.

I think your directions would apply to a crockpot, not an instant pot. An instant pot cooks foods quite quickly, it's basically a pressure cooker.

When possible I would use the USDA numbers. MFP allows caloric and nutritional info to be entered by anyone, as a result there is a LOT of incorrect data.

Great job! Love the t-shirt too, after all I am a bird watcher. 😁

Roma tomatoes are a plum type tomato and are really best for making tomato sauce. Fifteen pounds wouldn't take very long to process. 😉

Great job!

Glad you took my wisecrack as a joke... after I posted it I thought some might think it not so funny! BTW you have some really great nature pictures !!

So what are you going to do with your lottery winnings?? 😃

I agree, the addition of bacon would make the perfect sandwich. I left that out of my tomato sandwich description intentionally....hundreds of keyboards would have been ruined.... by the drool! 😋

This NOT low cal or in any way healthy....but it is delicious! Start with two slices of white bread,,,something like Wonder Bread,,cut about a half inch slice out of the center of a perfectly ripe large tomato and make a tomato sandwich.. a very generous amount of REAL mayonnaise must be applied... and salt and pepper if…

According to the USDA, a large egg is approximately 78 calories. If you are adding anything additional to your scrambled egg that would add to the total, i.e. butter in the pan, etc.

There are very many dried fruits available... i.e. raisins, apricots, prunes, mangoes, raspberries, etc., all with no sugar added.

Cutting a boneless chop into 1/4" strips makes great stir fry. Also because pork loin is so lean and mild tasting, it can be used in most recipes that call for chicken breast.
-
That does sound good....adding the cheese at the end of cooking does make a huge difference IMO... most cheeses lose much of their flavor when heated or at the very least the flavor changes and usually not for the better.

With "maybe" the exception of ice cream, sriracha sauce goes with everything!!

Just a point... steel cuts oats and old fashioned oats are two distinctly different products. They are not interchangeable in their preparation. Old fashioned oats have been processed, they are steamed and then rolled into a flake shape. While steel cut oats have had no processing other than the oat berry being cut to a…

While I'm sure a slow cooker or IP can be used to prepare the oats, we find this method to be the easiest. On the stove-top, in a large saucepan, bring 6 cups of water to a full boil, add 2 cups of steel cut oats and then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook covered for 18 minutes. After the oats are cooked, pour them into…

I eat this almost every morning. The steel cut oats are prepared on the weekend and after cooling they are divided into the daily portion size and refrigerated. To prepare the daily serving the oats are heated in the microwave, at the same time I fry one egg. The hot oats are then covered with the cheese, green…

While couscous sure does appear to be a grain, it's actually pasta.

Hard boiled eggs......always keep some in the fridge, A couple with a little salt has stopped me from snacking on bad stuff many, many times.

Really great job! You look like a different person!!
