Keeping fingers crossed!

Cook according to package directions, but use chicken broth, a touch of soy sauce, and a splash of sesame oil instead of water. Then add any other veggies you would find in fried rice. Great for when you are craving Chinese take-out.

It doesn't really matter. You have to take it anyway. I suspect the difference in metabolism will be minimal.

If you like mushrooms, try stuffing mushrooms with a bit of pizza sauce and some 2% mozzarella. Takes care of my pizza addiction craving every time! (I know you didn't ask, but I share that tidbit with everybody I can when they say "Pizza!")

Wish there was a "like" button as on fb! Way to go!!

Go grab some back copies of Oxygen magazine from the library. It is a magazine totally dedicated to chicks who lift. There are some great ideas in the mag for beginners and pros alike. Very inspirational, also.

Was looking for some info on bodybuilding.com and came across: http://videos.bodybuilding.com/watch/86542/jamie-eason-fitness-360 I am constantly inspired by her! She does not just shape up for competitions, but year round.

Loving the on-line resources for backpacking food that everybody has suggested. Dehydrating food for the boys has always been the biggest pain in my behind when they get the backpacking urge! Thank you, all!

If you have access to a food dehydrator (and will be taking a camp stove and iodine to purify water), my husband and son have had luck dehydrating ground meat prior to backpacking trips. They add it to dehydrated veggies and Minute Rice (ok, not the best carb, but they don't carry enough fuel to cook real rice or quinoa).…

Quinoa reheats well. However, if you are adventurous, try these out cold http://stpeters.patch.com/articles/quinoa-quinoa-quinoa

My mom used to toss in chopped green onions, mushrooms (yes, canned) and a bit of parm into rice. One of my favorite combos!

Yogurt, fruit, cheese and cottage cheese come to mind.

1. Encourage other friendships with other children for your child. 2. Do not ever go against your gut feeling! 3. I didn't allow sleepovers until my daughter was 10. Tell her that you have decided to change the past rules because she needs to get her sleep (or whatever).

The peanut butter and banana sandwich is a great idea! Nothing quite as satisfying!

Was just brewing some now for the afternoon! It works wonders!

I am a huge fan of beans, lentils, brown rice, barley and quinoa. All of those things can be purchased in large quantities (dry) for pennies per serving. The spice combinations are endless to create globe-trotting meals. I tend to go for ease, so I make many servings of the grains or beans at once, keep them in the fridge…

I am just trying to bench my own weight before the end of the year! I have the perfect leather jacket picked out as my reward once I can do it!

Used to be (I know that doesn't help), but hi from one Region girl to another!

Agree with SBWOOD888!!! Was just thinking that too! Love an Aussie accent ;)

If you like mushrooms, try using portabella caps, baked for about 10 minutes to release some of the liquid. Top the caps with your favorite pizza toppings and bake. Not quite the same, but takes care of my pizza craving every time!

Cardio, cardio and more cardio (plus some crunches and plank)! No need for an ab glider!

I crave the carbonation, so years ago, I started drinking LaCroix or Mendota Springs sparkling water. Canfield's also makes a sparkling water. No sodium, sugars or artificial anything. (I admit to drinking dietCoke still, but not daily).

Have you checked out Clean Eating magazine or Oxygen magazine? Also, bodybuilding.com has some great resources and a message board for women.

If you are into mushroom pizza, making the pizza on a portabella cap is also a great way to get a pizza fix. I bake the cap for about 10 minutes, open side down, so that the shroom releases much of its water content. Flip it over, add your toppings and enjoy a knife and fork mushroom pizza without any bread product…

I realized that a box of Samoas is nearly equal to two hours on the elliptical. I then realized that I like Samoas less than I had in years past. Thanks for the substitution!!!!

I just got home from jean shopping. I just spent more on jeans than I should have. But they were 8s and they made my behind look great and they were the only ones that did!

http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/ Some great ideas here!

With marinade, an easy way to get a feel is to measure prior to adding, then measure the remaining marinade that doesn't soak in.
