Just to assure everyone just in case, I'm not critical of myself. I'm just reaching for a goal. I won't cry if I don't reach it =).

I agree but as I've stated, it's pretty low. You can pinch a little skin but I'm pretty solid and my abs are like rocks...just smooth rocks instead of what I want :ohwell: :frown:

Thank for the link. I will check it out. Maybe it's just not realistic for me on a day to day basis.

Thank you! I want to look lean but muscular. I don't want to look like a body builder but more muscle is definitely welcome =)
-
Thank you! I appreciate the input :)

I see what you're saying. I just don't have much body fat as it is. I wouldn't know where to guess myself but you really can't pinch much more than skin on me. I know I have some body fat but I can't see it being enough to hide my abs. I can rub my ab area and I don't feel any bulges. I wonder if I'm just lacking muscle…

I get a ton of natural sugar. I LOVE my fruits and especially bananas. Thanks for the information.

Thank you. I have looked at her 100's of times and never picked up on her abs. I wonder if my abs are flatter. I have extremely good core strength but no bulges =(.

Thanks for the advice :)

And before I get attacked...I didn't weight 110 on purpose. I weigh in at a nice healthy 130 now.

I disagree to a point. Anorexic people have dangerously low body fat and they don't have abs. I don't know what mine is but it's not much. I love IF and did it for a while. I still do some days. The fruits and veggie diet seems to keep me hungry so it's harder to push through a longer fast. Maybe I need to bulk. That's the…

Thank you. This seems more realistic to me. The "drop weight/body fat" argument seems to apply on to a select few and not me. How much more body fat can a 5'7" female drop when she weighs 110 (I did a few years ago and I didn't have abs!)? Thanks for the advice!

I don't watch my macros much. I put the emphasis on eating fresh foods and stopped worrying about the rest. I do not do abs daily but usually about 3 or 4 times a week.
-
Yes, I want 4 or 6 pack abs with lots of definition. I do not wish to be thinner or smaller in any way. This complicates the theory of "lose weight to gain abs". If I lose weight I just look bad without abs =(
-
Thank you :). I'm not complaining at all. This is just a goal that has been on my list for a couple of years now and seems to stay just out of reach.
-
I'm not losing weight. Please look at my pics. I don't have any to lose. My hip bones protrude. I weight about 130 lbs right now but at 110 lbs (years ago) I didn't have abs then either.

That's awesome. Just like I told him, we don't hold other couples to our standard. I think it's in our best interest to wear our rings but if you all feel comfortable without them then that's great too.
-
That's awesome. I don't hold any other couple to our standards. My husband is the same way. He wears his ring always :)
-
I wear my ring, always! It's not any more an option than my marriage. I wear gloves when I lift heavy. I may have to size my ring down eventually but I don't think it's going to slip off. If you're ring is that big either size it or get those plastic sizers that go on the back of the ring to temporarily hold it in place.

Fruits and veggies are the quickest things to eat when you are in a hurry. A banana doesn't even have to be washed :). Veggie stew can be tossed together easily on your day off and then packed for quick, yummy lunches. Nuts and seeds, while high in calories, are good for a quick snack if you do it in moderation.
-
My diet consists of mainly veggies and fruit. It adds up. I consume between 1500 and 2500 with a high emphasis on veggies, fruits and then some nuts/seeds and small amounts of dairy. I would log it. It's food.
-
In not an expert but I think natural sugars are fine. I eat a ton of fruit and stay lean.
-
Sweet potatoes and bananas. YUM and holds me over while I'm craving sweets.
-
Processed packaged foods in general. If you stick to foods that don't have nutritional labels you don't have to worry about what's in it. It's hard to do but it takes the guess work out of what is healthy and what's not.

Make sure your shoes are fitting right. When I run in the wrong pair of shoes I will get knee and shin pain. When my shoes are right I have zero pain.

My husband and daughter eat all kinds of crap. They have their food and I have mine. My husband works nights so I have to prepare his food mid-afternoon for his "lunch". Eh, it is what it is. I just don't eat it. That's HIS food, not mine. My daughter eats whatever I have prepared for him or she fixes herself something. I…

Try sleeping in your gym clothes. The alarm goes off, get up and out the door before you have much time to think about it. The only way I can accomplish this is to avoid facebook or any distractions in the morning and just do it. Once you are there you will be glad you did :)

I eat 98% whole, unprocessed foods but my family does not. This includes a teenage girl and a husband. I just have to keep my eye on my goals and ignore their food. It has its challenges but it's do-able. One thing I try to make sure of is that I have ready to eat foods so I can grab healthy options before their junk food…

The short simple answer: YES. If you are doing this for YOU then do it tomorrow. If you are doing this for a man or men, skip it and get comfortable with you FIRST and then see how you feel about implants. Good luck :)
