Well I am sorry if you did not like my response but I can assure you there are many reasons you want to be cautious with very low calorie counts-hanging onto weight is one of them :-) I have been a part of many groups over the years and can give you countless examples of this being the case.

1300 calories does not sound like enough. If you go to low, your body will hang on to the weighty you have. You need to up your calories so your body can function properly

I prefer minimalist shoes. You don't need a specialized shoe. I love Altras and use them for running, lifting, turbo, and even all around my farm. Fantastic shoes.

I am only 48 yo BUT my mom is 71yo! She started a serious fitness program about a year ago and now lifts weights 3 days a week and no longer has to take her blood pressure medicine. There is no question nutrition and fitness will make a difference! Good for you in taking control of things! :-) Leah

It really depends. Oil in and of itself is not bad. Extra Virgin Olive oil and coconut oil are actually excellent fat sources.
