  • That really is awesome! Love the pic!
  • Hope I got that to work... never loaded a pic before. This is an apple, hollowed (keep the bottom intact). Defrost some frozen berries (can easily be warmed on the stove), put inside the hollowed apple and top with some whipped cream (I'm pretty sure some greek yogurt would be tasty too!). Fun, and easy to do! Plus, quite…
  • I don't think it would be a bad thing for you to try it out. I'm not paleo, just been looking into it. Currently doing a diet reset of 21 days called Ignite from Dailyburn.com (my fav workout site!): No soy, dairy, gluten (includes wheat, rye, and oats), sugar, artificial sugar, and alcohol. If I cheat, I have to start…
  • Yes!! I totally should find something I could log as this! ;D
  • Nice! About sounds like they were flirting. ;)
  • First of all, I can totally relate! I have two yunguns, ages 3.5 and 18 months. Whenever I do sit ups or pushups they wanna crawl all over me; if I'm doing squats, they want to crawl under my legs. Once in a while, they do want to get involved but only lasts a few minutes. Here's what I've done: Put on a show and go…
  • Tonight I had this: Ginger Chicken Ingredients 1.25lbs of chicken legs 1 small yellow onion, diced 1 piece of fresh ginger, roughly 1″ wide x 2″ tall x ½” thick, peeled and sliced ½ tsp black pepper 1 tsp Course ground Celtic Sea Salt 2 tbsp of diced red onion 1 stalk of green onion chopped. 1 tbsp of coconut oil…
  • I haven't experimented much, but when I eat it it's usually for breakfast. I dress it up like I would oatmeal (usually cinnamon and raisins/fruit). Can make it creamy with some milk. I imagine you could also use it as a substitute for rice... today used it as a filler for chicken soup.
  • I agree with above poster. In this pic you look good. Flat abs, nice definition. Why do you want to get to 138? Maybe adjust your goal? Perhaps body fat%? You look great and don't look like you have much to lose.
  • Bump... Sounds good!
  • I am a mom of 2 beautiful girls, and I totally understand wanting to get in shape! I'm still working on getting to where I want to be, but I've lost about 25 pounds over the last year and I wouldn't have made it this far without MFP (I'm 5-10 pounds away from goal). It is definitely a lot of work but you can totally do it!…
  • I just looked it up. The seven foods are: Soy, Corn, Gluten, Dairy, Sugar and artificial sweeteners, Eggs, and Peanuts.
  • Mine is "The kids woke me up during the night, so I won't wake as early as I was going to. I'll still do my workout this morning." And then I very rarely do.
  • I think I'll try something like this real soon... :)
  • I'm no expert. Nuts can have a nice caloric punch and make a great snack or add in. I see you already have peanut butter (which would have been another suggestion). If you aren't looking to actually eat more in quantity, opt for full fat versions of things. For example, instead of a low or nonfat yogurt, go full fat. Does…
  • Peanut butter and oats?! Sign me up! :-P
  • Hmmm... I don't know about the recipe you're using, but I've had some experience making no bake cookies. (Those you can't refrigerate to set, have to sit on the counter). I found if I cooked the sugar/chocolate mixture too short a time it wouldn't set up as well. Also, if it's a rainy day it takes forever to set. Dunno if…
  • Very weirdly cool! Gonna check that site out just cuz.... :-P
  • Hmmm... sounds yummy! :) Adding pb sounds good too! :D
  • If you like yogurt, you can make your own in a crockpot. Need some yogurt for starter culture for first batch and that's all you have to buy. Put your milk in your crockpot, heat the milk to 180 (creates a sterile environment for the culture) then turn it off (approx 2.5 hr). Once it cools to 105 -110 degrees F (approx. 3…
  • Hmmm... I'm no expert, but the work habits may be throwing you off. I agree with others you may not be eating enough, and make sure you get adequate protein and carbs in your snacks (apple slices with some nut butter anyone? :) Perhaps add another 200ish calories and see how you feel? Be simple and unlikely to set you…
  • http://southernfood.about.com/od/crockpotchicken/r/r80320a.htm Smoked paprika gives the chicken a delicious, smoky flavor. This is an easy one-pot meal to prepare for the slow cooker. Ingredients: 4 boneless chicken breast halves 2 pounds small white potatoes, peeled and cut in 1-inch cubes 2 medium carrots, cut in chunks…
  • I read something about a 'whoosh phenomenon'. Where the fat loosens up and gets all squishy just before a major flush. I lost about 3 pounds in a week (when I was good to get more than a pound in a month) that I attributed to the whoosh. I'm hoping I'm due for another soon. ;)
  • If you are hesitant to make your own starter, check this website out. They also have an online chat for troubleshooting. :) http://www.culturesforhealth.com/starter-cultures/sourdough-starter/white-flour-sourdough-starter.html P.S - I am in no way affiliated with this website.
  • Bump, thanks! I might just use cocoa and a touch of honey instead of the mix cuz I don't usually have that. So nice to have an individual serving too. I find that if I make more than one of something I tend to eat them all.
  • Yes, planning ahead really helps. If you find this overwhelming, theme your week. (Crockpot monday, taco tuesday, roast wednesday, fish friday, etc.) Theming makes it fun and helps add variety. I cannot tell you how much stuff has gone to waste because I bought lots of good stuff and didn't use it. Really helps to have a…
  • I'm a Sahm of 2 toddlers, ages 3 and 1. I have finally shed all my pregnancy weight, but still have a ways to go till my goal weight. Feel free to add me if you like. :)
  • I've never had a smoking habit, but I can imagine it being very frustrating for you. I have 2 toddlers and I find myself often frustrated, especially with the older one (who just turned 3). I find that getting a good workout in really helps my moods. I used to snack a lot and found that even when I tried eating 'healthy'…
