If it is sugar that comes naturally with fiber, then I don't worry about it too much.

Hi, I have wide calves too. And they were big and muscle-y at smaller sizes. Here are some places that have wide calf boots. Not cheap but not too bad. http://www.widewidths.com/ http://www.silhouettes.com/Product/Shoes+Boots/David+Tate+Leather+Dress+Boot/D-10500/P-401851x You'll have to mail order them but tall boots for…

Two thumbs up to Chobani Pineapple. Sadly the store nearest to me runs out of it often.

How to change the standard settings: My Home => Goals Press the Change Goals Button. Select the Custom Option Press the Continue Button Tweak as necessary Press the Change Goals Button. Tiny red notice that will say "Goals Updated" will appear. I have my setting being 50 percent carbo, 25 percent protein, and 25 percent…

Notsocorny is a friend and we try very hard to make sure we have "corn free" stuff for her when she comes over. All my kids are getting better at reading labels to see if it is NSC friendly. Two of my kids have reactions to food dyes that come with numbers. (Red #40). One of the things I found out that is most passover…

Good morning MFPers, This morning I weighed in at 205.6 - which official puts me at the 10 pound mark ~ good news yes, but puts me at a lower calorie level. I am wrapping my mind around moving more to get back that 60 or so calories. I was on Mt Plateau for a couple of weeks. Did everything right and nothing happened! Had…

Hi, I reset mine to 25 gram a day. I usually make it the 25 and sometimes go over. The biggest thing is if you have dry fiber (like double fiber bread) then you need to drink extra water to "fluff it up" for lack of a better turn. I agree with many of the other suggestions - the good bacteria from yogurts, coffee, whole…

Thanks for sharing. Excuse me, I've got to go chug some more water down now.

I do flavored seltzer water a lot. I can do about 1/2 of the water as plain water. But yeah, if you're not used to it ~ getting the 8 in is hard.

I temporarily changed my profile picture to my net calories since joining. (I eat about ½ to 2/3 of my exercise calories since I figured out I got exercise calories). I don't know if you can see it but except for 3 days, I've been within 100 calories of the target ~ with as many days under as over. I’d love to drop my food…

I am on Thyroid meds. I see a endocrinologist twice a year. In addition to the standard T4 meds, he has a compounding pharmacy make up a specialized cocktail of natural T3 and other thyroid meds. (If I don't have some T3 daily, I get total brain fog). Thanks for writing back.

Another way to see "how fast it goes through" is to eat sweet potatos. If I have one, then 12 hours to 16 hours later, the poop is way more orange that usual.

Huzzah! You aren't morbid! You are positive! Heading in a positive direction. Go, go, go!

Off some meds. Excellent!

I only include the stuff that isn't usual. I have a small kitchen and a large family and do 95 percent of the cooking at home. So on a typical day, I clean my kitchen 3 to 4 times. I don't count that because that is daily. However, if I am stripping everone's linens, remaking everyone's bed, and schlepping it all down a…

It is true. Was 216. Now 207.I am on Mt Plateau. Nothing to report. Started 6/26. Lost 9 pounds total.

I weigh myself every other Sat. I'll you all know tomorrow. However, sneak peeks have indicated a plateau. But I'll keep on keeping on.
-
I bet he is telling all the other doctors in your practice about you! Great job!

I'm a picture avoider too! I am also 5 4 and am north of 200. This is a great site and I've lost 6ish pounds - mostly by portion control and better choices. Being honest with the food diary is key. Good luck on your lifestyle change!

Hi All, I agree that is hard for we who have to lose 50, 60, . . . 100 pounds find it sometime hard to relate to those who want to drop 20 or fewer pounds to wow people at a big event (wedding, school reunion, etc). Things are a bit different up here in the 200s. Like: -Exercise is something ya gotta do but often we have…

As an ex WW, I find this site pretty easy to use.

Hi, Congrats! Here is what a couple of sensible sounding web sites said about the subject: http://www.mamashealth.com/pregnancy/pregcalories.asp http://kidshealth.org/parent/pregnancy_newborn/pregnancy/preg_health.html http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/healthy-weight-gain 17 years ago, I had gestation diabetes. I was able to…

Hi, Can I join? I've been north of 200 for about 16 years. Started with MFP at 216 and now about 208ish. I like "Less than Him" but also would like to suggest "Getting to One-derful life" I don't really have an end goal weight. I have no idea what a good weight for me is (I'm 5 4 when I stand straight). I was a size 12…

Eating out is problematic. So doing it well as you did, is a major accomplishment. I get it totally why you are so proud of this. WTG!

I love the "tah dah!" pose in the second pic. WTG.

Your skin in the second pic looks glowing!

Weighing less than hubby is sort of any unoffical goal for me. My guess it won't happen until early next year. I'm 5 4 and he is 6 1

4 the first week. .5 on average the other weeks. I'm on the 1 a week plan but don't get freaked unless I get two ups weights in a row. I'm in the slow and steady camp. Not sexy, not "Kool" but I'm looking at eating healthy and cutting back as something for the rest of my life.
