I've only recently moved here from Sydney, so no idea if people are close to me or not. I'm in the St Albans area.

Been on MFP a while but just joined this group. Yay finally found the Aussies! Going to be here a while, I have 48kg to lose. I'm from North West Melbourne.

There's a few Aussies on here. I'm one of them, from Melbourne.

Hi, friend request sent :) Anyone can feel free to add me as well. This is my second time here, this time it is working out better. I am actually dedicated this time. I've lost 3kg so far (6.6lbs) but still have another 48kg to go (105lbs). I log on every day and love sharing in everyone's journey. We all need support to…

I did a search around, my bags didn't have it on them. I did find another brand that has the nutritional info for 25g of popped corn. I'll be using that one from now on. Thank you all for your help. BTW the packet says 128 calories for 25g of popped corn without toppings; or 90 calories if you use an air popper instead of…

I was going through the same thing for about 2 years. I gained a whole other person in that time. I'm starting to see results now after buying a food scale and measuring everything. Somethings were more then I thought some were less. I track everything, food and drinks. So many people don't track their drinks, not sure…

Your right, cocktails do sound like an awesome idea! Might keep that one in mind for when the feather babies go to bed  :drinker:

I find I am in pain all the time as well, but there are levels of pain for me. When the pain is on the lower end of the threshold I keep going. When I start to get that stabbing pain like a metal stake being driven into my heel or my back tightens up it feels like it's going to turn itself inside out, I know I have gone…

I have scoliosis, sciatica and small fractures in my lower spine... I know from experience how hard it is to find exercises that work for you. I agree with many of the previous posts though, swimming and cross trainer are my two favourite. Low impact and easy movements. Walking and an exercise bike are my close runner ups.…

I have two cockatiels. They render it impossible to eat while they are out, as everything is "THEIRS". I let them out to play and get pats while I watch TV and movies. Means they get snuggle time and I get to watch TV without snacking. I also do the all meals and snacks to be eaten at the table rule. Otherwise at the…

Anyone can feel free to add me. I have just over 100lbs to lose and am on here every day.

I just finished a meal of about 2,000 calories (date night = cheat night), but with all this talk of juicy pork and apple sauce, I'm hungry again! I doubled my calorie goal today, I was planning on just eating a little lighter for the next couple days and going for an extra swim. I say... Remember the awesome meal, move on…

I haven't read through all the posts, but here's my experience... I have very large breasts DD cup. I used to wear a bra all the time, and there was no way I could exercise without one. I stopped wearing a bra all the time about a year ago, when I started to work from home. I only wear them now for business meetings etc…

Matt Smith is my favourite.

It can depend on why your doing these diets as well. Atkins for example cuts sugars and carbs I believe. Someone like me who is sucrose intolerant would lose a lot of weight going on an Atkins diet due to the lack of sugar in the diet alone. Unless you know how many calories you are eating and using, I don't think you can…

Sustainability! I lost 30kg (66lbs) last time I tried to lose weight. I did it by doing daily exercises and eating foods that for me, where just not sustainable. I loved the weight loss, but as soon as circumstances in my life changed, I put that weight back on plus another 16kg (35lbs). This time, I'm taking the…

I make my own bread. Means I know exactly what goes into it, and it tastes awesome. So easy to make as well, especially with a bread maker, as elis_mama said. On that note, I find HM bread rolls have less calories then loaves... Go figure.

Hard to believe you did that in just one year! Fantastic effort, thanks for sharing your inspirational story

A bigger smile, otherwise nothing :)

Longer shot so we can see the whole package

My husband doesn't want to diet, but I'm the one who does the cooking and food shopping. As a result he eats what I make. I just make sure I make the things I want to eat, that fir into my meal plan. He tends to eat a much larger serving then me, and that's fine. I don't feel like I'm missing out. The rule in the house…

Glad to know I'm not the only one out there. I understand what you mean about the weight not showing on the face, up until about 10kgs ago, it didn't really show on my face either. I appreciate everyone sharing their story, I don't feel so alone in this now

Kinda reminds me of a article I read the other day about being addicted to sugar... http://www.sucrosefreeliving.com/psychological-effects.html Chocolate is my weakness as well. Can't stop at just one piece!

Current main pic was created Yesterday, I love that mask ;). Actual picture of me in my profile is about 2-3 months old now.

Everyone who wants to can add me as well. Always looking for friends to share in this weight-loss journey with. I have about 50kg to lose or 110lbs.

Great post Lisa! We all need encouragement and support, and MFP is a fantastic place to get that. I've come back here again to try again, last time I didn't do the whole friend thing. This time I am and am finding it so much better with all the support and encouragement. Congrats on your 20 pound loss! I've sent a friend…

I have serious back issues and motivation issues as well. It can be very tough to get yourself moving sometimes and away from the chocolate cake. Before my accident that caused the back issues, I was a abseiling and rock climbing instructor. I loved being fit and healthy, so full of energy all the time. I miss that.... I…
