  • Feel free to send me a request. Been back at it for 3 months now, 12kg down, going strong still a long way to go. Looking for like minded Aussies who post regularly and interact.
  • Welcome :) I started back at the beginning of the year. Have a long journey ahead, the connections help a lot to keep you on track. I'm from Melbourne. Have 76kg to lose, like you I'm taking it in small weight goals.
  • There are a few Aussies around. I'm down in Melbourne.
  • There are a few of us floating around. Not sure why the group is so quiet.
  • Feel free to add me. I log in daily and would love to have more active friends on my feed for mutual support.
  • Yep, from Melbourne
  • There is heaps of apps out there for that. Personally I prefer Pepperplate. One click recipes into your own list, easy to use between tablet, phone and pc. Best of all is the shopping list which makes it super easy when I go to do my shopping. Don't know how I did it before!
  • This might help http://www.sparkpeople.com/blog/blog.asp?post=23_ways_to_top_your_popcorn_for_under_150_calories A few interesting ways to eat your popcorn under 150 calories.
  • I find going down the spices aisle at the supermarket and picking up the recipe bases is great. Tells you exactly what you need on the packet and they are usually super easy to make. The slow cooker recipe bases are my favourite but some of the quicker stir fry style ones are good as well.
  • I remember having a similar issue with housemates when I used to share. I never knew who was stealing my food until I decided to try and catch them out. I used to work at pizza hut at the time, so I brought home some "specialty" pizzas from work. Wrote my name on the box, wrote do not touch, extremely spicy etc; enough to…
  • In to see what answers people have. I'm curious too.
  • My hubby thinks it's weird I like peanut butter and honey sandwiches, as well as grated carrot and sultana sandwiches.
  • My pic of my work in progress. 5.6kg (12lbs) down, hell of a lot more to go.
  • Great advice! I'm learning to be more selfish when it comes to my weight loss and fitness goals as well. Hubby knows he's free to eat what ever he likes, but what gets served on the table is going to be healthy meals that fit within my calories. He just usually goes for a bigger helping then I do. I need to be selfish now,…
  • You don't HAVE to buy the book, a lot of the recipes are on the site in the recipe section. There would just be more recipes in the book. Try looking at the bottom of this page to get the recipe links. http://www.sucrosefreeliving.com/recipes.html
  • If you want some recipes for no added sugar that work and taste good go to www.SucroseFreeLiving.com The coconut jam slice and baked chocolate cheesecake have to be my favourites. I try to eat no added sugar as I'm sucrose intolerant, but I still eat the natural sugars myself. Honey has become a lifesaver for me in my…
  • I just wrote up our goals and rewards 2 days ago ;) Mine is: Goal 1: 99kg = Pair of roller skates Goal 2: 89kg = unknown Goal 3: 79kg = unknown Goal 4: 69kg = New wardrobe Goal weight: 65kg = Trip away up to $3000 Goal 6: Strength = Ability to kick *kitten*! I haven't decided what the 2nd and 3rd will be yet. I would guess…
  • I had never heard of body glide until this post. After looking it up, I doubt I'll be switching. I use curash powder to stop chaffing, which is a baby powder. Works brilliantly and is 1/6th of the price of body glide. I guess the only drawback to it is it's not invisible like the body glide. For me however I usually cover…
  • Those are some great ideas :) I haven't tried paddle boarding, will have to give that one a go. Rock climbing is a great one for getting everything moving, although I do enjoy the free-fall abseil back down again more, especially if it is on a real mountain!
  • Your not the only one. It looks like a server issue on their end. Just refresh your page to make it appear until they fix the issue. Good idea to also let them know by sending them an email so they are aware of the issue.
  • Anyone can feel free to add me. I log everyday and comment where I can. Currently on a 68 day streak.
  • When I was at uni years ago, I lost 10kg by swimming and studying at the same time. I took my books to the pool, read a chapter, swim 2 laps, repeat. Easy way to exercise and study at the same time.
  • I use the diary to help with meal planning for the family. I log in the details ahead of time, put them into the family meal plan, then order the groceries I need to make all the meals each week. I find it a lot easier and it is saving me hundreds of $$$ each month on groceries. We don't always stick 100% to the plan, but…
  • I haven't touched my walking stick in the last month. It's fantastic that it is finally gathering dust! I can now ride up to 12km on the bike and walk up to 2km without pain, whereas a month ago I could barely walk to the end of the street or ride a bike more then 2 minutes.
  • Thanks for the link, lots of good info!
  • Thanks tm82001, had a look at that one, it says to eat 1731 Cal. Good advice psulemon, thank you. I will try the 1700 cal method from MFP and see how I go. I switched the calorie limit over yesterday and dropped down 0.6kg in one day, but that could just be normal fluctuations.
  • I have the same issue. I've had sciatica ever since my car accident 12 years ago. I also find that doing something as simple as housework can lay me up for a few days. I'm currently on day 2 of recovery from just such an incident now. I also tried chiro, but it only made things worse for me. As for exercises swimming…
  • I love bananas, I grew up on them. Doubt I will ever stop eating them. I now have the banana song stuck in my head though >.< http://youtu.be/J03R_62la4g
  • I'm a girl that love astronomy. Love camping out under a clear sky with my telescope.
  • ^This^ I weigh daily but only record losses. I used to track fluctuations up and down, but got frustrated with it. Only tracking losses pushes me to go that bit harder so I can track a loss.
