I have been following a fitness nutrition specialist for awhile now...her advice and I have found it really works for me is to eat some healthy fats at night. You feel full and under control for the evening. It is usually like 12 almonds or 8-12 black olives or something similar. Good luck!

I'm looking at starting this. How is it going for you?

Congrats! Amazing job.

I saw a billboard while driving that said, "Nothing changes if nothing changes". Simple, but true. Make some positive changes for yourself and after you are comfortable with those, make some more. Good luck on your journey.

I get that way when I work out alone. The biggest thing for me is finding a workout "buddy". That keeps me getting up in the morning and doing my workout, because someone is waiting for me. My hubby and kids don't make good workout partners for me, it's too easy to say, we'll do it tomorrow. Find a coworker, friend,…

I would recommend going to the Scoobysworkshop accurate calorie calculator. Its a free website. It is really accurate. You can tailor your goals there. I love it because I'm short at 5 foot 3, but eat 1750 to 1800 calories a day and am still losing about 2.5 pounds a month. I would rather lose slow and have a lifestyle I…

Same as above. Force yourself to do something active, after 10 minutes you will feel so much better

This!!!! Really you are holding onto water from the sodium you ate over the weekend. Unless you truly ate the 3500 calories per pound. Drink tons of water and in 3 days you will be back to normal. Hang in there! It is a process, as I'm sure you know:wink:

I've never tracked my steps before. I'm going to do this! Here's to a lot of walking.
-
From what I've heard, when you first start out, your body will hold onto extra water. Nothing to worry too much about. Keep at what you're doing and it should go back to normal levels within a couple of weeks.

This happened to my sister and it ended up that she had diabetes and needed medication, and she was only 20 pounds over her ideal weight, so if it keeps happening, you might want to have a doctor check up. The good news is as soon as she got on the medication, she was able to lose weight and she felt better.

I'm 5'3 and CW is 145. My GW is 120. I currently have a small tire around my waist when I sit down, so looking to get rid of that. I was at 120 after having all of my kids, so I know it is realistic, having a sedentary job has not been good for my health. Good luck on figuring out your GW! And congrats on your achievements…

If you google it, you will find a step by step guide to get running. Literally from couch potato status to running a 5K without overdoing it or burning out. It is free. I have done it before and it worked fabulously. I really like to follow a plan, so I don't have to think of it myself.

Hi, I'm 5'3" and cw is 140. Looking to lose about 20 pounds. Not really losing anything now for 6 months. I know it is the calories in vs out problem, but my metabolism has changed over the past 2 years. Youth is no longer on my side, even though I'm 35. (No, I'm not old, but I'm not young either.) Glad to see this topic,…

I have 5. We are finished but I absolutely love the kids I have. Two sons ages 16, 15. Three daughters ages 13, 11, and 10. They crack me up when I need it, love me even when I am in a bad a mood and sometimes make me want to pull out my hair... I love 'em.

Coming up on 17 years of marriage. Met in high school (he was the foreign exchange student who lived with my cousins, and no I'm not kidding), got married when I was 18. Gone through a lot together, mostly happy times. He's a great guy. I enjoy being with him. (Better add, we knew each other 3 years before getting married.)

I put some on for the first time in my life about a month ago. It actually made me feel depressed, like I had given up on looking good on my own or something...I don't know why but it made me cry. Maybe I need some professional help.:blushing: I'm glad you all love them, but they motivated me the other way...to start…

I am also 5' 3" and have weighed 140 for 2 months with no change. I think as long as you have a healthy goal, which 130 is healthy, than go for it! Just hang in there. I actually upped my calories for the last week and ironically logged my first weight loss today of 0.8 pounds. So now I have a glimmer of hope.

The schools here bump it up by age level. My son in high school has 1.5 hours every other day doing workouts, running hurdles, etc. My kids in Jr. High were doing mountain climbers, burpees, planks, runs, etc. Even my 3rd grader had to do the mile run at school and practice for it 3-4 times a week (which I didn't have to…
