  • Stockbridge. I usually do my workouts indoors or in the pool, but July 4th will be outside for sure. Anyone else on here running in the Peachtree Road Race? This will be my 17th time
  • Great job. That has been the hardest part for me too. I never used to eat breakfast except on an occasional Saturday morning (and it was more of a brunch). It has helped a lot.

  • Don't dread it - it will work your shoulders pretty good. Great job on getting up and running. I need to run some - big 10K coming up on July 4th. I have an MRI on my hip tomorrow (dr says arthritis but checking to make sure nothing else wrong) and then maybe I can do some running. I did W2 Day 3 yesterday. Feeling it in…
  • Just did Week 2, Day 2 plus Zumba 2 on the Wii. Hoping this week to lose more inches.
  • Took progress measurements this morning - The results: Lost 1.2 lbs Lost 3/4" off my hips (yea!!) Lost 1" off my chest Did Week 2, Day 1 this morning.
  • great job!!!
  • Can't see the pics but Congratulations on your success.
  • Great Job!! I am supposed to start Week 2, Day 1 today.
  • Great Job!! Keep it up. I did Week 1, Day 5 last night. Had to push myself to do it since it was already 10 p.m.
  • You are supposed to do each workout for 5 or 6 days and have a rest day. I started on 5/31 and actually did a rest day on Saturday (just because of my schedule). I also work out 1 day a week with a trainer so I dont do RI30 on that day.
  • I would keep doing the cycling and running. You can still do leg exercises even if you can't do push ups or weights because of your wrist.
  • I love cheese and bacon as well. I just don't eat as much as I did before and I make sure that I am logging it into my calories. For bread, I have switched to 100% whole wheat bread. I was never one to fix bread for every meal so that wasn't a problem. I just try to be conscious of how much bread when I go out to eat (like…
  • I would agree that you should see a doctor just to get levels tested. You could be anemic (which would cause the tiredness). I can't see your diary but you may need more protein and iron in your diet. I can relate to feeling cold. I am just about always cold because I don't have as much body fat as the rest of the family.
  • bumping so I can find this later
  • Sometimes the hardest thing is to just get the first day done. Way to go!!!
  • I have Zumba 2 for the WII - some of the songs are real easy and some are a little more intense. The moves repeat in each song and they also have a "tutorial" as part of the program so you can learn the steps. I like it although some of the songs don't really get me to work up a sweat. Just Dance 2 is also good and fun to…
  • Great job. I have done 4 days this time so far (this is my third time starting) and I can see a difference. Did you measure before you started? I didn't take measurements until today.
  • I have been adding as well - either additional abs (10 min) or some Zumba. Because of a hip injury, I can't do the cardio sections with high impact. I usually use 8 lb or 10 lb weights for the strength sections. Did everyone remember to take measurements before starting? Not too late since we are only 2 days in.
  • I am the same - never really had much up top and that is the first place I lost. It does have an upside - I can wear cute tank tops with built in bras and not have to worry that I don't have enough support and I can also go without one if a bra would show (backless dress).
  • I know a lot of people have posted so I don't know if I have much to add. I can see your sodium and sugar on your diary now and those may be two areas to focus since you are over in those areas most days (I looked back over the last 3 weeks). You may check your milk as it seems that it has a lot of sugar in it. Also I…
  • Still working on toning myself. I am close to goal weight although I seem to add and lose the same 5 lbs. I am 5' 2". I have been working on toning my legs and my arms as well as arm strength. Yesterday my trainer had me do bent rows with a 30 lb dumbell.
  • How about Chicken Bacon? I didn't know they made it until we got some last week in our food co-op. My daughter actually prefers it to pork bacon. It is comprable to Turkey bacon.
  • Some ideas - (1) plan ahead and set aside extra calories for that particular meal that day. (2) Eat small portions - There is nothing that says you must eat huge portions to not offend the host. (3) stay away from the fried stuff as much as possible. (4) plan on extra exercise on those days so that you have extra calories.
  • Since you are renting a house, you will have access to a kitchen so maybe instead of going out for every meal, you can cook a few. At least you can get breakfast and maybe lunch at the house. It will also save $$$$.
  • Bumping this so I can't find it later and order. Great job
  • For me, I saw more definition in my muscles/abs at the 8-10 week mark, but results will vary depending on where you fitness level when you started vs. now. My big result was when I ran my annual 10K (without doing much running training beforehand). I had the lowest 10K time that I had had in years. P90X helped with my…
  • I work out at night if that is the only time I can fit it in. Like another poster said - I think it mainly has to do with how it affects your sleep and if you can fall asleep after doing a workout. For pushups - just try to do regular pushups (on your knees) until you can work up to doing pushups on your toes. Don't worry…
  • Yes it happens to me too. Especially this time of year - graduation parties don't help and we also had a gathering to welcome our new youth pastor last night - we are blessed with a guy who is great with a grill as well as others who are great bakers (we could have our own cupcake wars). I am trying to get back on track…
  • I recommend this as well. Also, look at what you have that you may be able to sell (yard sale, craig's list, ebay, etc). Use the extra cash to pay more on the credit cards. Take a look at your spending habits as well - how often are you eating out? Like another poster mentioned, not eating out one time could save a lot.
