2 eggs, scrambled, with 15g of cheese and 1/8 cup salsa with blueberries or blackberries.

How do carbs affect you? Through trial and error, I found that eating wheat products (mmm, delicious bread) makes me bloated. Eating, say, broccoli (which, as with fruits and vegetables, has carbs) does not. I'm on 1500 calories and try to stick around 100-130g of carbs per day, but I try to make sure most of that is from…

Do one outdoor winter activity each weekend until the snow is gone. Even if it's -47C with the windchill.

I feel like my weight loss should really be called "The Story of My Hiking Pants." They are size 6. Were snug when I bought them. Then I gained a few pounds and they were painted on in the thighs but still possible to snap up at the top. Gained a few more pounds and had to suck in to do the snap and try to ignore the…

I'm gonna join you in the weight room soon! I used to do stronglifts two years ago but fell off. I'm in the midst of a yoga 30 day challenge right now (and with 2+ classes a day plus biking everywhere, I can't imagine throwing weight lifting in). Looking forward to starting again!

You sound very similar to me-- interesting that your maintenance also sounds like what mine should be. It's baffling that some can maintain at 2100 calories while someone else at the same height and weight is 1800, but I guess that's the wonderful weirdness of the same thing not working for everyone.

This is interesting. Of the yoga classes I do most are ashtanga/hot flow so a more active style, with about 2 a week that are yin/hatha. What type do you typically do? I do find the more strenuous classes to be a good workout-- heart rate gets going, sweating, etc (whether it's a hot class or not).

Thanks for such a detailed answer! Perhaps I will go to 1800 instead of 1900 to see what happens. No particular rush to get to a new caloric level, though 1800 does seem like a low level of maintenance. Then again, I suspect I have a lower metabolism so maybe it's so.

Glad to hear someone else finds the extra calories daunting as well. Not like I CAN'T eat that much, but there's always the worry about the "eat more celebration party", as you so perfectly put it. Good luck to you, too!

This was exactly me a few weeks ago! I didn't lose nearly as much as you (was going from 150 to 135) but it was the mentality of it. I hit my goal weight and goal measurements, haven't been this small since I was a teenager, and yet I was kinda "meh" about it. Some very smart MFP'ers suggested I make myself some new…

I think it depends on how crazy you're going on weekends. If we're talking 5000 calories a day then that will likely derail your goals, but if you're having 500 extra calories per day, not so terrible. I tend to eat pretty basic stuff through the work week so I have 300-400 calories "saved up" for the weekend. And unless…

Breakfast is almost always the same: two eggs scrambled with thyme, a scoop of salsa, and 15g of cheddar cheese. Some sort of fruit with it (usually berries or grapes). A Greek yogurt if I'm feeling particularly hungry. Lunch is usually leftovers: roast chicken with veggies, roast chicken in a salad, turkey chili, turkey…

10-12 hours a week. I bike to and from work each day, plus a lunch hour yoga class, and sometimes a second yoga class after work.

Took the excellent advice from you fine people and signed up for that yoga 30 day challenge. Pretty excited about it! I already do yoga 4-5 times a week, but this will push me to do 30 classes in 30 days. Nice way to head into fall. Thanks guys!

Pasta. All the pasta. And pizza. Mmmmm. Love me some simple carbs.

Everyone can make time to be more active. Literally everyone. You don't have to set aside a specific block of time and grind it out on the treadmill if that's not your thing. You could walk/bike to work instead of driving. You could go for a walk on your lunch break instead of being sedentary. You could stand at your desk…

I can't tell you how helpful all your feedback is. I think you're right, a new fitness-related goal is something I need to find ASAP. Without a goal in mind now I feel at loose ends. There's a 30-day yoga challenge coming up at the studio I go to-- maybe that's something for me to consider. I like the suggestion of a…

It sounds like you're in the process of discovering who you are now, which can be a little scary, but ultimately so rewarding. Maybe now you're the pretty, sporty hiking friend, or the pretty, bendy yoga friend. It's okay not to know just who you are at the moment, because it sounds like that person is still being forged.…

5'7 female, 135 lbs, eating ~1500/day, losing about 1 lb per week. I expect maintenance to be somewhere around 1900-2100.

15 lbs, 2 months in. 1.5 lbs per week, hoping to be down another 6 lbs by the three month mark.

You will spend far too much time looking in the mirror each morning wondering if that's a new line of muscle you see. And it will be glorious.

Great job!

Way to go, you look absolutely wonderful! And the smile says it all. :)

Amazing-- great job! The photos are worth a thousand words; you look fantastic.

I don't have a goal weight so much as I have goal measurements. I'm 5'7 like you, and I suppose I'd be considered pear-shaped. My goal measurements are 32-26-35. I started at 150 lbs, with measurements at 33-28-38. After 8 weeks I'm at 139 lbs, with measurements at 32-26.5-36. I've been 135 lbs before and liked that…

Went out for dinner on Tuesday with full plans to order linguine or pizza. Instead ordered zucchini "pasta" and loved every bite while staying within my goals.

Glad our struggle against well-meaning co-workers and their baked goods could help! ;)

Ah, the joys of womanhood. Normal. Totally, irritatingly normal. I gain 5lbs of water weight like clockwork in the week leading up to my period.

I've done Grouse Grind-- what a work out! Great job on getting up there, OP. Saw a poor tourist attempting the Grind while wearing high-heeled boots and jeans: seemed like utter hell.
